What did Lebanon do? Why are we sending bombs to Isreal, so they can have their own version of the holocaust? Genocide is wrong and our government is supporting this. At least Lebanon protects their borders.

You guys really don't have to act like your life depends on what you say to me. I just wanted to know what was going on, and am now a little more informed. I do know what the word genocide means and. maybe I was misinformed but it doesn't mean that you have to accuse me of being shallow, or of supporting terrorist. And next your going to be saying the Israelis didn't intentionally bomb the USS Liberty.
Zeppellen I would definately love to know where you get your facts from!!!

I agree with you 100%. What our country is doing is helping Israel kill hundreds of innocent lebanese civilians. It's awful and disgusting.
* and for the person that said that Israel warns civilians to leave their villages, please do some research. I have family in Lebanon. Israel warns them and then when they try to leave their homes, they bomb the vehicles carrying all the people trying to escape. Now is that fair? They also bomb the roads that lead out of the villages so noone can escape. So before you defend israel, do some Research!

Well at least Israel warns the people to get out and if they stay I believe that is their own fault. Now why wont hezbollah do the same thing? If Israel were to have a cease fire that wouldn't solve a thing, things would only get worse because hezbollah would only become larger and stronger! Why should anyone give into terrorists? This would have never happened if and only if Lebanon would have done what they said they were going to do in the first place in accordance with UN resolution 1559, dont you agree? Hezbollah uses high-density residential areas as launch pads for rockets and heavy-calibre weapons. They dress in civilian clothing so they can quickly disappear, the militants carrying automatic assault rifles and ride in on trucks mounted with cannons. What other country sustains 1,500 indiscriminate rocket attacks into its cities — every one designed to kill, maim and terrorize civilians — and is then vilified by the world when it tries to destroy the enemy's infrastructure and strongholds with precision-guided munitions that sometimes have the unintended but unavoidable consequence of collateral civilian death and suffering?
When the United States was attacked at Pearl Harbor, it did not respond with a parallel "proportionate" attack on a Japanese naval base. It launched a four-year campaign that killed millions of Japanese, reduced Tokyo, Hiroshima and Nagasaki to a cinder, and turned the Japanese home islands to rubble and ruin. Disproportionate? No. When one is wantonly attacked by an aggressor, one has every right — legal and moral — to carry the fight until the aggressor is disarmed and so disabled that it cannot threaten one's security again. That's what it took with Japan. Maybe you should get both sides of the story.

For 60 years the tiny country of Israel has only asked to be left alone to their own self determination. Yet the barbaric nations surrounding it have refused to let Israel live in peace. Continually Israel has been attacked, terrorized, condemned, bombed, its citizens mudered, and when it makes any attempt to defend itself there is an outcry from both its savage enemies and the gutless and misinformed. Israel has made so many concessions over the years, and has never tried to grab and maintain extra territory. But the ironic thing is, whoever tries to attack Israel usually gets humiliated. Lesson of the day: Israel will always win

What Lebanon did was not to disarm Hezbollah, and there by defacto endorse their terror campaign against Israel. They have not shown any regard for their own citizens, how can one expect Israel to do more than the Lebanese govt to protect it's population?
The deaths are tragic and terrible, but would not have happened if the Lebanon took care of affairs within it's own borders.

Do you have any idea what you are talking about? Where do you see genocide?? Do you even know what it is? Your responses are often shallow and show you know little if anything about what is REALLY happening in the world, let alone Lebanon. Israel is reacting to a group of terrorists who are harbored in Lebanon known as Hezbollah. They have attacked Israel with rockets and have killed many Jews. Israel is responding to their act of terrorism. Get and understand the facts. Please!!

Your additional Details are Wrong........
Hezbollah disguised as UN peacekeepers entered Israel,Killing Several Soldiers, and Kidnapped 2 of them.......
UN Peacekeepers Visually recorded these events, but failed to report them until recently............
That is an Act of War..............
Let's not forget about ALL of the Attacks on Civillians by Hamas and Hezbollah over the Past 5 yrs.................
Over 100 rockets are fired upon Israeli's(civillians) a day........
In Iraq over 3000 civillians (women and children) have been killed by IED's and Suicide Bombers(their fellow muslims).....
Where your Outrage toward the Terrorists...........
Your support for these Terrorists Disgusts me........
Saying anything else to you would result in a Crime..............

I sincerely hope we don't aid either side. We're bad guy enough as it is. Why make people hate us any more than they already do.
I think Israel should be working with the Lebanese government (which supposedly does not support Hezbollah) to defeat Hezbollah.

Israel is defending itself.
Remember, the past decade has been nothing but retreat ("trade land for peace", remember?)
Where many countries view compromise as a willingness to work together, many in this region view it as weakness.
There is a time for talk, and there is a time for action. This is clearly the latter as far as Israel is concerned, and honestly, I don't blame them.
Hopefully they aren't stuck paying the price for appeasement a second time to the extent they were the first.

Bush is not going to stop until there is another World War.It is his fault our borders are not protected, Even if they were protected foreigners don't care cause they know Bush will let them in free and clear.I agree Israel needs to protect themselves, But we don't need to keep sticking our nose in other country problems,We need to worry about our own problems with terrorist and find Bin Laden.
