I'm just trying to find out if there are any "liberal" talk show hosts or writers (like Rush Limbaugh or Ann Coulter) who spend all their energy and time spewing hatred toward anyone who does not think the way they do.

Jef - thanks for the fine advice, but in case you haven't noticed, the people on Yahoo Answers (myself included) are not talk show hosts or writers. I didn't ask if there were any liberals - I specifically asked if there were any liberal talk show hosts or writers. And just for the record, your wrong, I have not listened to any. If I had...I would not have asked this question, and I might not agree with them. Using hatred to prove you're right about something is ignorant....no matter what your political affiliation.

Gee - how did I know that people of the conservative persuasion would use this as an opportunity to spew some hatred?

I was listening to that "Randi Rhodes" person on Air America... she was getting a little out there...

but, I think that's why Air America is struggling... they are trying to do things the "republican way"... and liberals just don't respond, support or listen to hate...

Ann Coulter is a take no prisoners kinda gal, but Rush Limbaugh is not a hatemonger at all. The very fact that you asked the question this way shows that you've never listened to the show, and that you're speaking out of ignorance.

if you want a liberal that spews hatred all day long, Randi Rhodes is exactly what you're looking for.

Randi Rhodes, Al Franken, Chris Mathews, Michael Moore-on...etc. Basically Air America. The spewing goes both ways. The problem is that Republicans are more articulate and logical in their statements, while the liberals sound like fanatics babbling. Studies show that talk radio listeners are more intelligent that the ones that just watch TV. There's a reason why Air America is falling on their face. THEY ARE IDIOTS!

Absolutely. The problem is that you agree with their point of view so you don't see it as hate. I agree with the conservative point of view and don't see what Rush Limbaugh says as hate speech. I do see much hate in the views of liberals like Al Franken and Chris Matthews.

In fact, I've seen so many liberals spewing so much venom about Rush and Ann Coulter but when I've asked them to give me a specific example of their hate speech they can't. I've also seen many people on this site who claim to be liberal and then call for the death of our President. I have never seen a liberal put them in their place for their violent and hateful views.

Your own question is a perfect example of my point. You see people who don't agree with you as spewing hatred. You don't see that you are attacking those same people because they don't agree with you. Life is a two-way street. The sooner you learn that the better it will be for you.

Well, no there are no sucessful "liberal" talk show host although Al Fankens chief contribution to logic is to call Rush Limbaugh a big fat idiot.

There is a good reason for that as well. Liberal positions cannot be logically defended unless you accept the premise that people are too stupid to make their own decisions, yet some how smart enough to democratically elect officials that are smart enough to make all the decisions for them. A logical paradox in itself.

I think--and I'm sure that many conservatives would vitriolically berate me for this--that a lot of times the righties use emotion to stir up their supporters...rather than using logic, of course.
