What are the typical political views in the south and the north of the USA? Are northerners more relaxed and liberal than the southerners? And why? What has caused this division between the north and south?

In 1948, most of the non-Jewish indigenous people were ethnically cleansed from the part of Palestine which became Israel. This action was carefully planned. Without it, no state with a Jewish majority and character would have been possible. Since 1948, the "Israeli Arabs," those Palestinians who avoided expulsion, have suffered continuous discrimination. Indeed, many have been internally displaced, ostensibly for "security reasons," but really to acquire their lands for Jews.

Any proud American patriots here ever go to a BARNES AND NOBLE or BORDERS and walk over to the Ann Coulter and Bill O'NotReally books and hide them in the back of the store behind the Stamp Collecting books or rip pages out of them ??

If you have, any tips for the rest of us on how to be efficient and vandalize the most books in the shortest amount of time ?

Seriously. Its not Bush's fault that her son got killed. It was her son's CHOICE to go to Iraq. Her protesting isn't going to pull the troops out any sooner...Granted, as the daughter of a general who just got back from Iraq, i worried about his safety... but my mom and I knew that it wasn't Bush's or the government's fault if he got hurt or made the ultimate sacrifice.

I thought the guy was a pacifist. He opposes the War in Iraq, yet he seems to promote the war Israeli is waging and doesn't care about the now 600+ civilians killed during the conflict. But aside from that, the guy called the Iraqi premier an Anti-Semite for his opposition to Israeli's campaign!!!! Let's get things straight: anyone who opposes Israel as a State is an ANTI-ZIONIST. Being an anti-semite is to be RACIALLY against the Jews and Arabs (since both are ethnically and linguistically semitic).That's funny: an Arab, who is semitic, being anti-semitic; that's equivalent to being against yourself. Let us cease wrongfully equating Jews to Israel. One is a People, the other a State.

Since day one of Operation Shock and Awe, President Bush has repeatedly said in many different ways that the war in Iraq is being fought to make Americans safer from terrorists. What justifies the safety of Americans being paid for with human lives (i.e., Iraqi civilians). If you're someone who thinks that killing civilians is a "necessary evil" because terrorists hide behind civilians, what justifies the U.S. committing acts of evil but others should not?
