What do people think about the US military destroying and crapping on Babylonian ruins?

.....knocking down walls and pavement that are more than 2000 years old in Iraq.
Does anyone know the rich history of civilization in Iraq and by ransacking the place, does this make us look more like conquering imperialists to the rest of the world?

China - What's going to happen?

1- Why is it so overpopulated?
2- Is it overcrowded, or still livable there?
3- Do they WANT to start taking over more land.. or at least do you think eventually a huge % of them will emmigrate?
4- CAN they emmigrate.. or is there some law forcing them to stay in their country unless they leave illegally...

Why does the US government waste money?

Here we are wasting millions of dollars to keep gays from being able to marry, and we are cutting the Homeland Security budget. Where is the logic in that?

Neighbor wants my trees trimmed that overhang her yard. Who pays?

I live in Los Angeles. My neighbor wants me to pay to trim the trees that are on my property that hang over the fence into her yard. Whose responsibility is it to pay for this? I need a link to an official government site that states the facts of who is to pay. My gardener says it is not my responsibility. He has 35 years experience, but that it not proof to my neighbor. I do not mind doing it once, but I want to know for certain whether or not it is my responsibility before this becomes a yearly thing.

do people who get wrongfully accused and inprisoned for a long time, get compensated somehow by the gov.?

I was reading a story about a man who was inprisoned for 18 years, and then released because they found he was inocent using DNA testing. I was wondering if they copensate him at all for totaly screwing up his entire life.

I bet most of the rabid anti-illegals were also rabid Bush supporters. So what happened?

I see a lot of Bush bashing among the anti-illegals, even though your conservative views lead me to believe that you supported him at one point. Is your loyaly so weak that you would turn on him over one issue? Or is your racism just that strong?

BTW, I've ALWAYS been anti-Bush.

Can you foresee the biggest problem with ILLEGAL immigration?

All a terrorist has to do now is: go to Mexico, shave the beard, keep the mustache, put on a poncho and tapdance into our country as we sit back going "Why didn't we prepare for another 9/11?" Because people were too busy feeling sorry for people who aren't even citizens of this country. You just watch. If another strike happens, people would sing a different tune.

my daughter was detained and questioned by police for 4 hours at school. i was never contacted in any way by the police or school authorities.
