I really don't know why but I have an thoughts and I believe its about the money, The court feel that the way the child support system is designed and the society understanding that men suppose to pay for there kids and mother suppose to give them emotional needs. Its easy to place a man in jail despite him being a better parent oppose to a mother. They believe that kids really need the dads money more then his emotional support. That's why its hard to lock up a mother who refuse to allow dads to have his court visits with his children even when he pays his support and much more.

i do not know the answer to this.. this concerns me to since i have had all sons... and the mothers were even the ones that were the reason for the divorce in the first place..one sons wife was a stripper and she did not want my grandaughter but when he took her out of state then she had the bounty hunters look for my son and grandchild...i have not heard from any of them since then.. but my one son thankgod does have his children most of the time.. seems that wife would like to work more and bought her a new car.. he still pays out lots of money but he least has his children with him.. i am concerned now about my youngest son...he spent a year in prison, but his wife while in prison, ran around with other men, got into drugs, stole my bank card and used it...and she is still going through the court system with this deed...but i know my son wants his kids.. the two girls do not want to go with my son very much cause the great grandma has had them and they are just use to being there and like their school..i have seen them many times and my grandson stayed with me a lot,, but he just turned 2.. now his dad does have him with him.. but i am bothered about what will happen when this divorce goes through.. i know the mother is an unfit mother,, she never kept house and just sits and yells at the children...i hope my son gets his children back...the sons have to work and support their children.. but i am all willing to least keep my grandson... the girls think i am mean if i want them to sit down and watch tv...so this is a little of my experience with the man keeping the children...i think a father should have just as much custudy and some cases full custudy when the mother is proved to be unfit...

They don't always grant custody to the moms, but most courts prefer to give the kids to the biological mother because emotionally it is better for the child because there is more of a tie between them because she actualy bore them.
