1- Why is it so overpopulated?
2- Is it overcrowded, or still livable there?
3- Do they WANT to start taking over more land.. or at least do you think eventually a huge % of them will emmigrate?
4- CAN they emmigrate.. or is there some law forcing them to stay in their country unless they leave illegally...

The ONLY reason they never took over Europe is because of the Gobi dessert -- a tought wasteland of rocks without convenient oasis. Ghenis Khan did knock on the door of Hungary but suddenly died.
The more probable scenario is because Russia has the most land of any country on earth with fewer people and they're neighbors, well you get the picture.

1) It is overpopulated because of the "baby boom" after WWII, same as other countries.
2) It is overcrowd in the big cities, but as a nation basis on population density it is not over crowed. China has population density of 137 per km2. Monaco 23,660 per km2, Netherlands 392 per km2, India 336, UK 246, Germany 232, and US is only 31. Compare to US, China is crowed. (The US needs more people, but that is another topic.)
3) China has enough land and is encouraging its citizen to move to western provinces where it is less crowed.
For centuries Chinese have emigrate to Southeast Asia.
4) When the Communist took over China in 1949, Chinese were cut from outside contact. Chinese were not even allow to go to Hong Kong, or Macao without proper visas. But that has changed over time, under Chairman Deng X. Ping, China is once again open to the West and allow its citizen to emigrate. At this time, the Chinese economy is booming, and not many wants to leave. In fact, lots of Taiwanese and overseas Chinese are going back to China to study and to open businesses.
5) The sleeping dragon has awaken, but China still far, far behind the US. US is #1 base on GNP, and Japan comes in a distant second.

They're going to become a super power. Currently there is a "One-Child" policy to help with birth control. The country is big and the most populated areas are the urban areas such as Beijing, Shanghai, Hong Kong, etc.
Not sure about the current migration / immigration policy.

I really can't answer your specific question but I can tell you property values in China are going up at such an astronomical rate, the Chinese gov't has put a limit on the amount of properties a person can buy within a certian period of time. Soooo, tons of Americans are flooding over there in what's being referred to as the 21st century gold rush.

China has 1.3 billion people, give or take a couple million, and eventually they will spread across asia. Eventually, China's GDP will outstrip America, even India which is on a boom right now won't be able to keep pace.
