What is it about illegal immigration that Americans do not understand?

I read this article no too long ago: Some one broke into your house, did your dishes, made the beds, did your laundry and now they are demanding that they stay. You say no cause obviously they are in your house illegally. They state that they cleaed your house and you should be happy and now they want be on your insurance policy and go to school with your children. You still say NO, you broke into my house and are here illegally. Now they get all their friends to picket your sidewalk and state that they deserve to be there cause they cleaned your house. Then Ted Kennedy shows up there with them. What do you do?

It is insulting to everyone that is here legally and worked hard to get here. All illegal's should be ashamed of themselves and their supporters too. And please spare me the "we are all immigrants" or "we are all here illegally" crap.

A tourist walked into a curio shop in San Francisco. Looking around at the exotica, he noticed a very lifelike, life-sized bronze statue of a rat. It had no price tag, but it was so striking he decided he must have it. He took it to the counter.

"How much for the bronze rat?"

"Twelve dollars for the rat, one hundred dollars for the story," the owner said.

The tourist gave the shop owner twelve dollars. "I'll take the rat. You can keep the story."

As he walked down the street carrying the rat, he soon noticed that a few real rats had crawled out of the alleys and sewers and began following him. This was disconcerting, so he began walking faster. But within a couple of blocks, the herd of rats behind him had grown to hundreds, and they began squealing.

He began to trot toward the Bay, but looking back he saw that the rats, now numbered in the millions, were squealing ever louder, and coming toward him faster and faster. Now scared, he broke into a run, then a full Olympic sprint to the edge of the Bay where he threw the bronze rat as far out as he could. Amazingly, the millions of rats all jumped into the Bay after the bronze rat, and they all drowned.

The man walked back to the curio shop. "Aha!" said the owner. "You have come back for the story."
"No," said the man, "I came back to see if you have a bronze Democrat.

I am a contractor, and I hire people to help me work in New York. I am a big fan of immigrants, but LEGAL immigrants. Simply put, I do not hire illegal people to work for me. If you can't prove that you are a citizen of the United States, I won't hire you.

Do I make less of a profit than my competitors? Not really. Here's why.

If you hire someone who is breaking the law (in other words, an ILLEGAL immigrant), they are already a crook (they are ILLEGAL - get it???), and so, what makes you think they will do a proper job? As a result, you have to redo the job which eats away at your profit margin.

On the other hand, hiring LEGAL people usually results in a better job done more quickly, and so, your profits are up.

I treat my workers fairly and do not exploit them. In turn, they work their butts off. It's a symbiotic relationship. I charge slightly higher rates, but people know I do quality work, so they hire me.

Still think the economy needs illegals?

America has been in trouble in the past facing terrorism and is in the risk to face it again (as all countries are). How can it still claim it can ... help ... other countries and protect them against terrorism???

Do you think that if America keeps a lower profile then conflicts can minimise to a minimum? Or is it a culture thing that Americans feel so much in power on the planet to keep a low profile and this pisses off the weakest races that invented an unethical war (terrorism)?

I read lots of stupid comments and questions from all colors of people and yet I see white people telling other ignorant white people how racist and stupid they are yet I don't see any one else complaining when people put down white people in general as red necks, white trash, etc. True, there is still racisim by whites but it would be stupid to say that racism towards whites does not exist. So why don't all of us educated people fight the ingnorance of the foolish?

By teaching what "they" think is important, are "they" dumbing down americans to make them more dependant on government?
Why are the school systems still failing to teach what will make them sucessful in life and not just "work for the machine - check to check"...and pay taxes or make a career of collecting social benifets.

I have examples of contentious questions asked here by so called Conservatives, and they answer concisely without resorting to insults. This is because their arguments are normally well founded. Conservative just say, anti-american, leave america, bush haters. WHY DO YOU NEVER HAVE THE CONFIDENCE AND FACTS TO ANSWER Questions?

I will give examples on additional details soon.
