The US has already spent to much time, money, and soldiers to this war. Leaving now would only open Iraq to the terrorists. It will forever show that US is afraid. But, the US need to start pulling troops out and letting the Iraq government start handling this mess.

No, I don't understand what are goal is any more. First, we wanted to get rid of WMD's, none there, OK we're done. Then, we wanted to get rid of Saddam Hussein, OK done too. Finally we wanted to make a democracy, well that is done too. If the newest goal for Iraq is peace then is that something that will ever be achieved, because it isn't real peace even in the United States.

per our previous q and a....I was writing that in a broader sense than directing that at you. But I apologize none the less. I am happy you are a graduate student. Maybe when you become financially succesful, and have a family, you will note the error of your ways. lol. Good luck to you.. I noticed you are studying the elderly, or the effects of aging in your graduate process. Is that correct? I spoke in front of the committee on aging on capitol hill years ago. At least we have some common ground, albeit a reach.

Why, when we are spreading democracy all over the place, would they want us to leave/ And why should Bush believe that? All we did was to invade and occupy a sovereign nation, put their leader in jail, and keep the population of Iraq and the American soldiers in continuous harm's way. What's wrong with that?

Oh really? Did you ask them? And yes, while a lot of them do not want us there, there are quite a few (the majority) that feel secure and want the US to stay. Don't believe everything in the news. Do a little research before you ask stupid questions.

You have said it with yourself, "stubborn". All people have underlying agendas. No political agenda is as pure as snow.

The way I look at it, the only Iraqi's that want the US out are the terrorist supporters. They only want Uncle Sam out of their country so that they can continue building bombs and killing their own in the streets!

But they also want to be a strong enough country to keep another Saddam from grabbing control.

They are asking us to leave, they are asking us to abide by their laws, however...No I don't think he'll do anything different until the next election is a little closer and his ratings are a little lower.
