Surely it's not rocket science, it should be an open and shut thing. Oh you want a Pentacle for your husband who died in a US military operation, sure, here you go. What's the deal? They put pentacles on dogtags, why not memorials and headstones? Is there something offensive about it? I just don't get it. Should not all of our military men and women be given the same rights, alive or dead? Certainly especially dead!!

I watched the video on yahoo about getting rid of the penny, and they said that because the price of zinc, it now costs 1.3 cents to make a penny. I personally don't think that we should get rid of it. Just find another metal to make it, or the price of zinc may go down. So should we get rid of the penny?

If it is ok for Israel to go in and blow up the ministry buildings in Palistine because a solider has been taken/killed, why is it not ok for the US to go in and blow up the Iraqi ministry building everytime their soldiers or civilians get taken or killed?

Israel in the last month has blown up civilians yet it is not ok for the Palistinian's to feel upset? No appology has been made, only denial!

Why does the world stand by everytime Isreal blatantly over steps the bounderies that other countried would not get away with?

Forget what side you are on re the issue of Isreal vs Palistine, this question is about what is right, what is legal in the world of politics.

Why is it right for one country to do things, to get away with things, that other Countries would be condemned for in the public eye?

The structure of the UN captures the reality of 1946. The world doesn't look like that anymore.
- why hasn't Germany and Japan been given a Security Council seat?
- why do regimes who stay in power by force of arms get a vote at all?
- Since they just sit on their butt regardless of the crisis, why do we pay any attention to them at all?

I just read on Yahoo news that France offers illegal immigrants a payment of money if they will voluntarily step up and deport themselves. Would this work in the USA for illegal immigrants, do you think?

President G. W. Bush was rated the lowest of all the Republicans with an IQ of 91. The six Democrat presidents had IQs with an average of 156, with President Clinton having the highest IQ, at 182. President Lyndon B. Johnson was rated the lowest of all the Democrats with an IQ of 126.

No president other than Carter (D) has released his actual IQ, 176.

Among comments made concerning the specific testing of President G. W. Bush, his low ratings were due to his apparent difficulty to command the English language in public statements, his limited use of vocabulary (6,500 words for Bush versus an average of 11,000 words for other presidents), his lack of scholarly achievements other than a basic MBA, and an absence of any body of work which could be studied on an intellectual basis. The complete report documents the methods and procedures used to arrive at these ratings, including depth of sentence structure and voice stress confidence analysis.

Judging from previous questions, killing a person in self defense is justifiable, but what if you do it in a ritualistic manner?

What I mean is If a thief robs a victim at knifepoint in a city park, if she manages to get the knife out of his hand using Tai-Bo moves learned watching a Billy Bland DVD after he comes from behind and holds it to her throat demanding that she gives him her underwear, which she does, can the victim then use one of the concrete tables as an altar to sacrifice the offender to pagan gods?

I am very curious of why. I was looking over the questions, and I noticed quite a few people believe we still live in patriarchal society. That is true for some countries - meaning dictatorial countries and countries where women are not allowed to vote - but in most countries patriarchy has in fact been dismantled. You see, in countries that are ran by constitutional monarchies and democracies are in fact not patriarchies for the countries are run by the people who vote, men AND WOMEN. Yes, patriarchies may be existent in some homes, but not in government. I am not a crazed feminist who is rooting for matriarchy. To be frank, I don't like either patriarchy or matriarchy I believe that I country, and household, can only be properly run by both sexes.
