Generally, this type of information is never free. However, you can contact your local law enforcement agency and see what they charge for a copy of your arrest record - the price may vary depending on your location, but normally you can access that info and get a copy for a nominal fee and proof of identification. Rmember, if you find any discrepancies, you can petition to have the incorrect information removed.

I think you can do it via the courthouse. Request an NCID report. That will gve you the whole history in the US. They might charge a small fee, but its the cheapest way possible.

You can also request an NCID on anyone, as long as you have their date of birth, full name, and I think their social security number.

There is also a site called www.knowx.com that will give you many public records, for free, and they charge small fees for other investigations, also. Like, in a few states, you can find marriage and divorce records, even, at least a partial listing.

I know this because I have a stalker husband and am afraid of filing for a divorce, and am not sure where he lives, but like to try to keep track, for my own safety. I also want to be informed if he files for a divorce or dies, lol.

PS- Its okay to be in check with your criminal history, esp. if you had a charge expunged from your record, and do not wish to disclose it in the future. =)

It should be free to LOOK at, as it is part of pubic record. Otherwise if you want a copy to take with you, it will cost and price varies. The county courthouse will only show what that county has on you. You can have a nationwide check done on you but I think the price has gone up from twenty-five that it was awhile back. You will need a legal form of I.D. to get this.

Here's an option. Many counties offer an online record search that is pubilc information. Go to the County Clerk's website. If you have the Cause No. of your cases you can see the offense AND any thing that was filed regaring your case. Basically, you can see the timeline from arrest to conviction. Some searches may require the name of your attorney to search. Be adivsed, not all counties offer this service.

Shouldn't you know your criminal history.

Go to the courthouse and request the file, its public information. It's also available online (at least for Houston, TX it is), but the information is not as extensive online as it is if you go to the courthouse.
