Staff Sergeant Raymond Plouhar, 30, died on Monday of wounds suffered while on duty in Anbar province. He had barely a month left of his tour of duty in Iraq, where he was in charge of detecting and detonating makeshift bombs.

Do you think it is time to leave Iraq yet?

I am pretty sure that in the late 1700's they voted to make German the national language to severe all ties with England. The vote failed and everyone continued to speak English. Does anyone know if this is correct? Does anyone have a link to prove this?

Police officers are tasing citizens for small reasons. Here is a video clip of a woman being tasered for nothing more than a traffic stop.

Whenever I interview a new candidate for a position I love to try to get them to hint at their political slants....Now, I have held this practice since 1992 and I am proud to say I havent hired one yet( PLUS no lawsuits against us, no workers comp claims and everyone is happy..the product of no liberals employees who sue if they get a paper cut)...anyway, Is it wrong that I dont hire some trailer trash and help them out of the ghetto? I know they can work up to like what,,,,,20 hours a weekor do some of them even push it to 30? Can anyone that hires liberals give me some insight here. Thanks

Ten days ago, workers cleaning a house in New Orleans found a body of a man who died in the flood. He is the twenty-third person found dead from the storm since March.

Over two hundred thousand people have not yet made it back to New Orleans. Vacant houses stretch mile after mile, neighborhood after neighborhood. Thousands of buildings remain marked with brown ribbons where floodwaters settled. Of the thousands of homes and businesses in eastern New Orleans, thirteen percent have been re-connected to electricity.

The mass displacement of people has left New Orleans older, whiter, and more affluent. African-Americans, children, and the poor have not made it back - primarily because of severe shortages of affordable housing.

Thousands of homes remain just as they were when the floodwaters receded - ghost-like houses with open doors, upturned furniture, and walls covered with growing mold.

Under federal criminal law, anyone who "commits a war crime … shall be fined … or imprisoned for life or any term of years, or both, and if death results to the victim, shall also be subject to the penalty of death." And a war crime is defined as "any conduct … which constitutes a violation of Common Article 3 of the international conventions signed at Geneva." In other words, with the Hamdan decision, U.S. officials found to be responsible for subjecting war on terror detainees to torture, cruel treatment or other "outrages upon personal dignity" could face prison or even the death penalty.

I am not condoning the crimes commited by our servicemen overseas. I am curious to know how the exteme stress from fighting in this conflict is affecting our young men, many of whom have no previous criminal history.

Do you believe sexual predators are better off away from the community placed in jail or prison where they may never recieve help for their problem (and when they get out they may re-offend)? Or do you think it better for them to be placed in a treatment center so they may be cured of their problem?

I'm not sure what to do. I just recieved a flat envelope from a photographer with numerous printed photos in them. Right on the envelope, clearly printed, "Photos-Do Not Bend". But the ****** just stuffed it into the mail box, bent in half. It was a sunny day, he could have just had it stick out of the box a little, atleast it wouldnt be damaged. Should I report him if the photos are damaged? or should I talk with the photographer and ask from some reprints? I dont think the photographer will comply because it isnt his fault. But what will happen to the postman? Who would i report to anyways? grr I'm so angry right now.

I know racism is stupid, but do you think that Israelis are an exception. They know what has happened and is happening to the Palestinians. Do you think they are: evil/ see the arabs as lesser people/ think the whole world MUST have so much sympathy for Jews, so many years after the holocaust.
Note that I'm not talking about all Jews, just the Israelis.
