It is becoming apparent in the current situation with the Iraq war and the failure to defend our borders (including 9-1-1!) and the IRS's failure to answer any meaningful questions about their tyrannical mis-representation of their own regulations (check out Aaron Russo's new movie), that there needs to be a more comprehensive look at the issue of government. 'Restoring the system' to its 'orignal intent' is just going to put new crooks in the seats. If we all accept Jefferson's premise that we have 'inalienable rights' and we are all 'equal' than it is logically inescapable that no 'public servant' can claim a power that none of us individually possess. If we want help with the task of protection, we should look to a free market provider (Brinks security or another), not a band of thugs who demand payment for their services at the barrel of a gun. If you can pretend to select the bosses who rule you through elections, but cannot get rid of the mob itself, what's the point?

In my state, you get a ticket if you do not wear your seatbelt. I don't understand how they have this right?

1. We are not the 'greatest good for the greatest number' country. We are a country that gives ppl choices over their own bodies and protect that right... the right of the ONE.

2. Percentages show that about 90% of ppl in car accidents live because they have their seatbelt on. This means that there is 10% that live because they did NOT have it on.

How does the state have the right to decide FOR ME which percentage/risk I want to select??

I've been told that state's governors are lobbied by insurance companies to pass these type of laws. That makes sense to me. I just feel like this country is becoming more and more and more like NAZI GERMANY! Next they will be telling me what to eat, drink, and how many times I should poop a day.

I am just trying to point out that if this was an all-white nation the social and economic problems we have will be solved. Then once we get rid of all the non-whites, we can get rid of all of the non-christians. After that, we will get rid of all the non-conservatives. Next, the Non-protestants. Then we will expell all the one that dont have light and pure Arayan skin. After that we will have the country we need blonde hair, blue-eyed, christian, conservative, white people. That is what we need.

our laws enforced? It has nothing to do with those peoples race! If they are all of one race it is b/c they are all from a country that is by and large one race and is NOT the issue.

That just wack. Liberal (the american sense of the word- not in the european economic sense of the word) and conservative are ideologies. Democrat and Republican are the parties that make up our two party system. A Democrat can be conservative (Dixiecrats) and a Republican can be liberal. And I in no way am a Democrat. I am not registered as one and do not plan to. I have no connection to the two corporate parties and their paymasters. I am a socialist and vote in that manner in almost all elections. And I also occasionally vote Libertarian. So any reply like, "Clinton was a draft dodger or a aldulterer, etc." has nothing to do with an argument concerning political philosophy and does not concern me. I am concerned with the issue at large and not the horserace between the two parties. I am not concerned with their consultants, their public relations campaigns, their focus groups, their sound bites, etc. Ideas are of my concern.

The Supreme Court has just ruled that Bush's actions at Guantanamo are illegal not just in the USA, but that they also are violations of International Law and the Geneva Conventions.
What is your opinion of this ruling and why?

I will consider a balanced view point in any answer given. But will say in advance that I agree with the Court and am pleased that even the conservatives voted against him.

Really it makes sense that in some cases people are taken away to be studied. We send thousands of probes into deep space... If we saw a being up there you would have to believe that we'd kidnap it!

First off, it is my understanding that some states do not allow this. They do in my state though

I'm referring to when you are just driving down the road not doing anything wrong and suddenly you have to mandatorily stop for a license check. If you stop and turn around then they chase you and charge you with something about trying to avoid the stop.

1st, isn't there something in the constitution about freedom of passage? And wouldn't this apply?

2nd, does this not remind you of Nazi Germany where ppl could be stopped and asked to show their 'papers'?

3rd) Since they must have a reason to pull you over when you are driving, how can they do this?

Now before some of u jump and say well it stops criminals. I do not agree with giving up my civil liberties.

The press is reporting the whole "bottle had someone elses name on it" story. What you aren't hearing is that the prescription was for 50 pills. So one pill was missing. And Rush was in the Dominican Republic. Alone. Hmmmmmmmm......

what do you think about the president plans to send the immigrates back from which they came?Do you think it wil hurt our economy and local business that had people that fall under the catorgy known "illegal cititzens"as employees?
the plan is basicaly to send these people back to there home land and let them(in my words) stand in a line which only X amount people can return when they fill out paper work to have thier names in the U.S. system and then they have know english but this the mistake i think or thing they didn't really discuss....
They have pen pointed one race as you may know they are hispanics but they are not the only ones who live here in the U.S. illegally. But my point that I've come across is - what about they illegal citizens that had children? their children are born here so therfore making them U.S. citizen. So if their parents are here illegally does the child have to go with the parent despite of them probably already knowing english and our customs.

I live in CA and my friend wants to make me the leagal guardian of her son if she dies. We have an "If I die letter" typed up and we we know to get it notarized. If her parents decide to contest this, will the letter stand up in court? or should we skip the notarizing and go strait to a lawer? (The reason she doesn't want her parents to get custody is because they are abusive) Any help would be great.
