According to an article I read in the local newspapers, this often happens at the time of boarding, and in some cases, a person will be flying round trip, and have no problems on the first flight, but then be required to pay for a second seat in order to return home. The reason given was that other passengers are uncomfortable sitting beside a large person. However, I think if big people should have to buy a seat for other passenger's comfort, so should other people you don't want to sit beside(young children, smelly people, annoying people who won't stop talking, snorers, etc), and only requiring it of big people is discriminatory. Opinions?

I am a cashier at a retail store in Ohio (the kind where everything is just $1) and the District manager has now informed us that we have to have our purses searched every night and if we do not want to have them searched we are not to bring them into the store. I carry personal things in my purse that I need along with medication that I may need in a hurry ( for severe asthma attacks) and I wouldn't like my things gone through on a nightly basis. We have a locker area where I lock my purse up (with a lock I paid for) when I get in and then only remove it when on break or leaving. I work in the front of the store and the locker area is in the rear of the store. Male employees have not been asked to turn out their pockets, is this fair or legal?

President Bush claims he has this power, but of course that is not was the Constitution says. Does this make what we are doing illegal? Immoral? Only Congress can declare war. After Pearl Harbor, FDR went to Congress and asked them to declare war, which they did.
I think Bush over stepped his authority and an all Republican (three branches are all republican) government let him do as he pleased.

I was honorably discharged on, February 2nd, from the Air Force because I stated that I was a homosexual. Since then, the Pentagon has stated that homosexuality is a disorder. I have not claimed my disabilities yet so I was wondering if I could claim that as a disability.

Is this just another example of how low the liberal media will stoop to undermine presidential policies? Why would they endanger the lives of Americans to further their agenda?

My husband is seriously thinking about joining the National Guard and I was wondering about all the benefits. Are there any conditions I should know? How long does AIT normally last? During basic training how often can they call home and do they get a break between basic training and AIT? If so how long? If you have any knowledge bout the National Guard please tell me all you know.

RE: Bush and the New York Times releasing the so-called "Terrorists" Financial tracking spying story.

I think the Government wants to silence it's opposition in it's takeover of the U.S. Constitution. Not that I oppose it, I do not, but hell, be honest about it. We're all adults here. Speak the truth. Do not insult my intelligence any longer.

Thoughts?....noting that the NYTimes story was nothing less than PURE propaganda.
