Why is the media threatening the lives of U.S. citizens by exposing the security tactics of our government?

Is this just another example of how low the liberal media will stoop to undermine presidential policies? Why would they endanger the lives of Americans to further their agenda?

Here's a theory, maybe the government is using the media. Knowing they will report everything they hear, the government claims tactics they will use against terrorism which are actually false. The terrorist sects read this and change their tactics, maybe making it easier for us to catch them

There not endangering lives. Bush endangered lives by not reading the presidential daily brief that said on the front "BIN LADEN DETERMINED TO STRIKE U.S". He admitted he never read it.
As for the press reporting on more George Bush scare tactics. I have heard an awful lot about nut case conservative newspapers (like the wall street journal) who reported the same thing.
But whenever Bush screws up or does something stupid it's never "hey Bush is a little stupid", It's always the media's fault.
If Bush really cared about our lives we would be in Afghanistan hunting down the man who was behind the 9/11 attacks. Not having American lives killed in Iraq because Saddam may or may not have W.M.D's which Bush and Rumsfeld probable gave to him in the 1980's.
And I'm glad the press released this story. Bush is a nutcase who keeps taking away our freedoms and privacy's by saying "I have to it's national security" .Every terrorism expert says the same thing. Al-Qaeda doesn't use phones because several years ago they knew we had the capability to listen in on there calls. And Al-Qaeda has there money hidden over sea's in secret accounts, not in America.

The story was also reported in The Wall Street Journal (a VERY conservative editorial board) at the same time. How do you explain that?

Who leaked the information, was it a liberal? No.

Who betrayed the President more--the "liberal" media (please) or the members of his administration that have leaked classified information? Do you think the New York Times has access to anything it wants?

The media is trying to point out how our government is breaking the law. It's their job and they been asleep at the wheel for a long time.

And I love this Liberal Media baloney. The media puts out the news that it thinks will get the most viewers. Conservatives label anything Liberal that is contrary to what they want to believe.

They're not really. The things that you call security tactics are a gradual erosion of the liberties our forefathers fought for. Just because the people in power say that you should trust them doesn't mean that you should. Today they say they are only investigating islamic terrorists. Who will it be tomorrow -- or more likely -- who are they acting against now that you/we don't know about.
