I put two questions in one.
If people stop demanding them, the people illegaly trying to get them will stop getting them from third world countries. Why can't people just be satisfied with cats and dogs???

Why do people want fur? Its really soft and elegant...i know..
but even if that animal has already been slauthered and you
can't do anything about it now...you CAN prevent other animals from being slauthered if you just simply STOP BUYING THEM.

People,just think about that message.

I just bought a Danish WB mare about a month ago and she was shod only in front when we bought her. She threw a shoe about a week and a half ago and the farrier hasn't come to the barn yet. I hate bothering with shoes and would much rather her be barefoot. I do mostly dressage with her and a tiny bit of jumping. I ride her pretty much everyday. Can someone tell me if she should have shoes on or not? Thanks.

I was researching dog food for my puppy and came across a site that claims how they tortured the animals in their research. Has anyone else seen it?

So im starting a small pet rescue... starting with hamsters and gerbils, then if i have the time with that, continuing with rats, ferrets, ect.

I would like a list of cute name ideas, maybe something tropical? i just want something different and not tacky!

also, what would be good ways to raise money and obtain food, litter, cages, ect?

thanks for your time!

First off, I've had my house rabbit for little over a year now and never had her spayed. She is fully intact and, for lack of a better term, horny. Last Monday I got another rabbit (male, about 8 weeks old and neutered) and over the past few days I've been slowly introducing them by scent. Last night I sat with them and allowed them to meet face-to-face. I was worried that my older girl might show some aggression, but instead she began to vigorously hump the baby...only to chase him down and hump him some more. He is so tiny that he disappeared under her and I dont want him to become afraid of her because of her very aggressive sexual advances.

Am I worried over nothing? Can someone with more rabbit experience please advise me on how to introduce them without the older girl humping the baby to death? I would have her spayed but can't for the next while, I just dont have the money...

Any advise would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

My dad sometimes spanks his pups if they make a mess. I find it really disturbing I try telling him but never listens to me. And I don't think the pups even know why he is spanking them. How do I make him stop?

I live in the country and on some property nearby there is a disused swimming pool that is filled with dead animals that fall in and drown.
The owner refuses to cover it or fill it in and won't put up a fence either.

He will allow me to put somthing in that will help them get out but I am completely at a loss for how to build something that will work for creatures as small as frogs and large as deer. I can't tell how deep the water is as it's all disgustingly gooey with dead things.

Any ideas gratefully appreciated as I am worried sick about pets and children in the area.

And yes, I have already notified every authority and there is no one who can force him to fix the problem.

I don't mean Barking Orders at IN GERMAN...
(and everything in German sounds like a threat)

I mean like......
(to the cats)
Have you girls been staying out of mischief?
how are you? having a nice afternoon in the yard?
conversating.

or when crow caws at you and you stop and look at him and say....
"you talking to me?"

I have a 18 year old black lab mix who has a hard time getting up and around. He has had many accidents in the house. The vet has him on the strongiest pain medicine there is. He cannot run around and chase squirrels anymore. One day he will sleep all day, and the next he is pacing (stumbling) around. He has a good appetite but he has a hard time standing up to eat his food. He will walk himself into corners that he can't get out of. Several times I have come home and found him in situations where I don't know how he got into and he has urinated all over himself. I love him very much and it is very hard to see him this way. I don't have any kids so he is like my child. What do I do?

should i put my rabbit in a two piece rabbit kit bundle cage?
or should i put my rabbit in a glass aquarium with a mesh top?
the rabbit i have tries to pee in her fave corner in her two piece cage (she poops whereever she wants to) and when she pees the pee stream bounces off her low corner and hits the wall real high up.
what are the pros and cons for each rabbit condo?

and should i clean the bowl every time the raccoon eats from it?
