Thanks!

Is it the US equivalent of a Veterinary Nurse. I am a qualified VN registered with the Royal College of Veterinary Nurses in the UK. I did on the job training and college training and sat 2 sets of exams. I can do the usual nursing things like dressings etc plus small surgery like lump removal stitch ups etc.

Is that the same as you guys or do you do different work? If so what is my equivalent over there?

Just asking as I see a lot of answers from vet techs, animal assistants etc.

Has anyone noticed that so called animal lovers only love preferred species of animals such as cats, and dogs, hoses, or the panda bear? For example, they campaign vehemently against the killing of purpoises and olphins but don't give a crap about the tuna that are being killed, or the chicken , or the cow. Shows hypocricy I say.

so i THOUGHT my blue heeler was diciplined enough to be left alone for about an hour while i did some running around in town. when i got back, he'd torn up my room and ate my betta fish. i know these dogs are energetic and it's not his fault really, but i guess what i'm asking is will the fish harm him or his system?

Now, if you cannot afford to supply your dog, cat, rabbit, ginuea pig, etc, with proper vetrinary care, than you should not have a dog.

Is anyone else just disgusted with these idiots?

my two 13 week old rabbits have been fine since i got them. they been eatin. i havent changed there diet at all since i gt them they were growing normal, nothing out of the ordanry seemed wrong. i had them out yesterday and they were perfectly fine. when i went 2 cover them up last night i noticed one of them was lyin flat out n i thought what is she doin. i touched her and she didnt move at all her eye that i could see was blank. i checked if she was breathing and she was. i gently turned her on her other side 2 see what her other eye was like it was focusing and following my hand. i picked her up and she didnt show any sign of pain, i laid her flat and got a syringe filled with water and gently gave her a little bit of water and she drank it nd seemed 2. then 2 mins after this she started kicking her back legs then suddenly stopd moving. there is no visble signs 2 y she died. her eyes were clean and so on, she was a healthy weight so what could av caused this 2 happen???

Sadly, one of my rabbits died yesterday morning. Now the one I have, Penelope [who is usually pretty hyper and active] just goes to sit in spots where my other rabbit used to stay a lot. When I went to find her she was in her cage and sitting where his body was. [..she usually sits in the opposite corner.] and then later she went to go just stay in a corner next to a TV where my other one ALWAYS stayed.
She just..sits there with a blank look. When I call her she ignores me sometimes..but then other times she hops over.
): Is she just mourning [because I heard rabbits do that when they lose a companion] or...is..something else wrong?
I just don't want to take any risks and lose her too. ):

This may sound like a joke but I went up to the country and went for a picnic. We had twinkies that we left out on a picnic table in a box. When we came back there was an empty twinkie wrapper and one that had chew makrs. We looked over and the squierll was eating the twinkie. Im sure this sounds ridiculous but Im not used to dealing with animals, did it eat through the plastic or something? This very strange (but funny)

Nobody is willing to take them in so they'll be caged for the rest of their lives. I dont lock them up in a cage. Should i euthanize them instead?

My husband killed this large hairy leg spider, blushish color in the bathroom.

Anyone know what it was? Poisonous? We live in Southern North Carolina.

He said that you could see the hairs on it's legs without getting close to it.

I saw an ad offering a free spider monkey to a good home, as the owner is leaving the state to go to college. We've got children, dogs, cats, hamsters & fish already.

What kind of care does a spider monkey need? Are they usually caged or free-roaming? What do they eat? Do they mix well with other pets? Children? Do they use a litter box?

Any info that you can give me re: spider monkeys as family pets will be appreciated!

WHO AGREES WITH ME!!! ?? our countrys should be doing more about animal cruelty ? its so unfair! if we kill somone we will get life in prison or somthing if we kill a dog or an animal we will be lucky to get 12 months!! it is so unfair there a so many people out there right now hurting and starving and bashing poor innicent animals! they cant fight back , or punch you and tell you stop, and if they bite you they get put down , yeah killed,, its so unfair they have hearts of gold,, and they have brains and feelings aswell if not more feelings because they cant tell anybody how they feel, and theres people killing them everysingle day,, and not much is happening about it, look at our poor whales people are killing to make **** that we dont need , and the elephants getting killed for there tusks wich we dont need , and dogs getting killed becaus they bit someone that deserved it or because they were brought up to attak because of there owner and they get killed for it! IT NEEDS TO STOP!
