My indoor rabbits have been urinating on the floor and I don't know how to eliminate the smell.

You'll need to use an enzyme to neutralize the ammonia in the urine. You can go to a pet store and find many to choose from. However, like others have said, white vinegar works as well - and it's cheaper.

Dab up the urine as much as possible, pour the vinegar over the spot, then dab up the vinegar. It will stink for a while, but once the vinegar dries, there will be no problem. Another good thing about using an enzyme reaction is that the rabbit wont be able to smell the urine either, so if you've been having problems with your bunny peeing in the same spot, this will likely stop. :)

Good luck!

Use any carpet cleaner that says it will remove odors from dog and cat urine. For the most part, urine is urine as far as chemical make-up whether it be from a dog, cat or whatever. So the carpet cleaning stuff for dogs and cats should also work for a rabbit too.

White vinegar will work on removing most urine stains. You can use a little corn starch to help pull it out also.

Basically what makes the smell is a chemical called urea that is present in the urine. That is why the same stuff that works for dogs and cats should work for rabbits.

To disinfect the smell of your rabbit's urine, use diluted vinegar. The vinegar acts as a disinfectant and its smell is abhorrent to your rabbits sensitive nose.

my daughters did the same thing, that is the worst smell. what I did was a bit of work but it worked like a charm, I first washed the floor with bleach water and after it dryed I did it again but with regular pine cleaner the bleach took away the urine smell and the pine cleaner not only helped with the strong bleach smell, but nutrilized the floor so when it did it again the smell was not so bad the next time.

I've looked around on websites before and I saw lots that said to use white vinegar. I never tried it though so I'm not sure if it works.
