The mom doesn't stay in the nest. She only returns in the morning to feed them, then she leaves so as not to attract attention to them. Leave them there and they will be fine.

The best thing to do is leave it in the nest. Mother rabbits only come by the nest for a few minutes a day to check on them. Their natural habitat is best for them instead of being raised by humans.

Do you live near an audobon sanctuary? If so call them. Call animal control in your town? they may know of a program nearby that will foster wild animal babies. If they are babies and have come out of their hole on their own..chances are they are hungry and the mom isn't coming back. Call a local vet also and see if they can tell you what to do. Good luck

I think its best to leave them to fend for themselve otherwise they will become dependant on you and find harder to look after themselves. They will be able to feed themselves on grasses and plants as tehres plenty around, i dont think you should give them milk either they shouldnt be drink cows milk etc, they will be perfectly fine. If you see them around alot more and they look as though they need help in the future then it would be ok to take them to a vet.

it's been my experience that they will fend for themselves as they eat greens etc: and chew on tree bark~it should be o.k. since it's out on it's own~just enjoy it every time you see it =)
