I really need to get a job this summer, but I don't have time to get a "normal" summer job working fast food or at the movies or whatever. So I'm thinking about petsitting. The problem is I don't know ANYONE. I don't belong to a youth group or any kind of place where I might meet people who need a petsitter. So my question is, would you actually call someone that you see advertised on a bulletin board in the library or whatever. I really don't know. If you saw a flyer for a petsitter, what would you like to see on it? If you wouldn't call someone off a bulletin board, do you have any suggestions of where I can find customers? Thanks everyone!

My neighbor downstairs is always yelling, cursing, and slamming doors. I think she abuses her dog(not sure what kind of dog, but very cute). She always leave him on the porch for hours sometimes and she rarely takes him for walks.

She has a roommate, but I still think she's yelling at the dog because i don't hear anyone else's voice but hers all the time.

It's really bad. I guess I'm confused too because she lives above a police officer.....so if he does not do anything about it, then what can I do? I really hate animal cruelty, but I don't want to come off as the mean neighbor.

We have most of their lids covered with wax paper to make it near imposible for them to get in. Is this problem because the house we live in hasn't been exterminated? And if so will it help now to fumigate ( the outside of the house around the doors and windows)? Please help we use Bed a Beast substrate. it is biodegradeable coconut husk that comes in a brick. you can boil it out and reuse it. we have boiled it out nearly 4 times now and we are getting annoyed. This happened we think because My boyfriend's mom had the air off until fricking june and she made us open the window one day against our wishes and our spiders got infested with bugs. Is there anything i can keep near their cages that will deter the bugs but keep my girls safe?

I think it's wrong.
And I really hate how people think that animal testing is a 'good idea'.
I know that animals arnt exacally human beings, but there somwhat just like us, they feel pain, they get hurt, they cry, and they bleed, just like us.
I know that some people think that animal testing would so-call save 'human lives' but why do they torture them, stab them, burn them, cut them open, or you can just think of anything horrible and inhumane you can think of, they've done it.
Just think about it. can you imagine peacefull loving harmfull animals being tortured? Or can you imagine your dog (your bestfriend) being split open and tortured?

I think that the animal liberation front are the REAL heroes. i know its wrong for them to 'break in' but i hate how its illegal for them to save the harmfull creatures, but its legal for lab 'scientist' to hurt and torture living creatures.

Please give me your opinions and what you think about animal testing

I have a netherland dwarf doe with a dewlap. Since it is a dq, so I can not show her, I was wondering if there was a way I can get rid of it. Her previous owner said it could be plucked away by hand, is this true?
Also, she is not overweight.

Today is make parrot food day. I have a senagal parrot. I make 2 different kinds of beak appatite, I add frozen chopped vegtables to the mix after cooking. I also make birdie bread. Corn muffin mix with veggies and spinach added. Sometimes a banana bread with other fruit mixed in. I then add a little piece of bread and a spoon of beak appatite in to a snack baggie and into the freezer. He gets one of theese bags in the morning. He always as zupreen pellets. I also have a drie veggie mix that he gets here and there along with a fruit mix and millet once every 3 months. Plus a little seed once in a while. If I make corn on the cob he gets the cob and he also gets a little pasta if I make some, a piece of my apple or banana a little piece of toast... Like I asked, I think he eats better then I do.

I dont think I actually ask my question the right way. I am not worried about my pet raccoon he is very much a pet and doesnt bite. I was just saying Ive had them since I was a little a girl and have been bitten numerous times. I have been reading on the internet about rabies and it classifies a skunk raccoon fox and bat as carriers of rabies. But every website I go to says something different about a carrier. Like for instance my raccoon has been in the house all his life he has never had any contact with a wild animal so that means he has no way to contact it from another animal. So Im asking if an animal can just be a carrier and transmit it to you without actually having the disease its self. If they can possibly carry the disease and transmit it without being infected or sick with it.

Since fri. my neighbor has been very scarce, I haven't seen her around at all. Generally not a big deal, but it's been in the 100's and her dog was left in the yard with no shelter,no water and no food. Her dog wiggled it's way under my fence and came into my house when the back door was open and went stright to the food and water. My dog's didn't appricate that, and i had to pull them off of her dog. The next day it happened again, the following day i allowed my daughter to bring over a small bowl of dog food and a large bowl of water over to my neighbors backyard. no signs of the neighbor being home..
She came knocking on my door yesterday yelling and telling me her dog is on a speical diet and we feed her dog low grade food and now if her dog get's sick we have to pay the vet bill. We tried several times to knock on her door, and no one was ever around. We didn't wanna see the dog die, it looks sickly. But she is still livid. Am i wrong for helping? or her for jumping my butt?
