We went to Pets at home and they gave us this small animal pet catcher that when the animal steps into it a door closes and you can safely get your pet back. We put bacon in it and just put it own. I want to get a Husky in the future and would love to have one with different color eyes! I've seen them, but only in pictures. Are they rare?

1st of all: I would like to ask my excuses for having removed the topic "If you were an animal, would you rather be a fluffy or a wild one?", since when I created that one I actually thought the nice word "fluffy" could also mean something lovely 'cos the correspondent word here in Brazil also owns this connotation (it's its main meaning indeed), but I was so wrong about it... Shame on me! Besides I would like to thank a lot everybody who answered that question.

I live in Southwestern Minnesota, and board horses. I am planning out the new layout of my barn and boarding contracts. I have a small business, about 6 stalls. I live on 5 & 1/2 acres.
If you are boarding a horse, please tell me what should be provided by the stable owner( grain, hay, indoor/outdoor arena, tack room..etc.) i don't have an indoor or outdoor arena. how big should tack/feed rooms be? i have been charging $140 and that includes: daily stall cleaning and fresh water (indoor and out), turn-out in the morning and turn-in in the evening, i feed them 2x a day(but the horse owners supply their own feed and hay). I have new solar, poly-tape fencing with the wood posts. Please give me tips!

I am 16 years old and I am in the horse boarding business. I need to have a horse boarding contract that protects me and my property so i don't get sued for anything. The contract has to include the fees and monthly charges of boarding, including specialty request (grooming, excersizing, etc.) the board should be paid by check or money order. i want it to have the option of me supplying grain & hay or they supply their own. also, they supply any extra supplements. also, if their horse dies or gets sick , that i won't be held responsible, the horse owner is responsible for ALL happenings. the horse owner must be held responsible and has to pay for all damages their horse has caused. they are responsible for upkeep of horse(vet, farrier, dental) i have some more to have put in there, but there isn't enough room on this detail page, so email me @ mcgaga16@yahoo.com if you know and can help me draw up a plan, or if you already have one drawn up for your boarding stables. thanks!

Always having this dilemma over Xmas when I go away to see my family, and usually have my neighbour to feed her. This yr, i've not been able to use him, and relied on others to help out for when i've been away a lot at w/ends (2nts... tho' have had probs with her 'pooing' in a room, deliberatly in the same spot, rather thn her litter tray, but not done that for a couple of w/ends recently). this time, w/out resorting to one other good friend (with family tho') , i'm thinking of just leaving her with a new electronically timed-dinner bowl so that she could be fed on her own.. what do you think.. judging from her past experiences, she doesn't seem to like being kept in on her own w/o any human contact.. i have thought at the very last, last resort of taking her to my parents' with me, tho' they have a very big aggressive dog that is uncontrollable sometimes.. but i can't imagine her being safe in a room that is next door in the kitchen where the dog sleeps at night.cant afford cattery

4 weeks ago a loose dog chased my horse, she spun round (unbalancing me) then ran off along the road - I came off at speed and landed on my face. I have multiple (healing) facial fractures, plates in my jaw & will need quite a bit of dental treatment. I still feel I want to ride but am not sure how I will feel when it comes to it. I will give it at least another 2 weeks til the fractures have set before I even get to that point - but has anyone else had bad riding accident, did you ever ride again, and if so how did you feel & what helped to overcome any anxiety/fear when you restarted?

My beloved rabbit, Mischief died over a week ago. I'm having a really hard time. At first I felt pretty numb, but little-by little the numbness wore away. I found myself in tears over a number of rediculous things yesterday and then started crying over her for the first time. I cried all day. I can't take this sadness anymore. What can I do to feel better soon ?

Can anyone reccommend a book on horses? It should have lots of breed information, info on horse care, terminology, and basic medical/anatomy. Thanks!

Or, do you know anyone whose family had huge blowups over a pet? What did you/they do? Did a family member move out/divorce?I realize everyone has minor disagreements over pets....such as whose turn to walk the dog, etc...I am wondering about ongoing arguments over a pet. I also realize the pet is not the problem..its the people, or at least one of the people being unreasonable.

This is about California legislation being passed to exterminate pit bulls. If it passes in California, it could be on it's way to anywhere. Someone has to try to make a difference...what if it were your pet?

Okay, my question headline is just to get your attention. I know hermit crabs mate. But...I heard some where that they only mate in water. Is this true? Because I just bought my hermit crab that I've had for 2 years a tank buddy...and they're really getting along. I just wondered if it was possible for them to mate in their aquarium. I'm not sure what sex either is...I'm just wondering.
