Not creepy or weird at all!
If the pets enjoy it and you don't mind cleaning up the shredded wrapping paper afterward, what's the harm? Just make sure the pets don't ingest any ribbon or whatnot from the wrappings.

If that's weird than we're weird together. I'm getting my land lady's crazy dog some dog treats and just to make the land lady happy I'll wrap them up and put the dog's name in it. Eh, that crazy dog has it's own queen size mattress. But personally, it's okay to buy the pets presents at Christmastime if you really want to, but this is the only scenario where I would wrap it. I want to remain on the good side of my land lady.

It all depends on the individual. Personally, I think that it is FUN!!!
Some might say that I am crazy to buy my cats presents, but I really don't give a rats *** what they think. It is my money, and if I want to treat my cats to presents at Christmas time, or on their birthdays, then I will. To heck with what others think.

Its not wierd at all. People who consider thier pets as members of the family tend to purchase gifts and treats for Christmast just as they would any other member of the family. My family has been doing this for our dogs for years. Our two Yorkies even have thier own stocking. When we had our Rottie, we'd get him a giant bone and wrap it up and let him tear the paper off. This year, my cats are getting thier first stockings. Its not wierd at all. Our pets are a part of our family, just a bit more furry than the rest.

It's normal. In fact, most pet owners buy their pets gifts for holidays and birthdays. However, I'd keep in mind that the animals don't know and don't care why they're getting stuff, they just like the fact that they're getting it. As long as you acknowledge that the wrapping and presentation is more for you than for your animals, it's ok.

It's fun. I've done it. I mean... it's a little creepy if you get them a dog cake for their birthday and have a party... but giving them some treats (yes, wrapped!) when you feel festive is just plain fun. I'm guilty!

We have always had stockings for our pets, what a great fun way to celebrate with them. As a teen I baked, homemade dog biscuits for all of the dogs in our huge family, for Aunts, Uncles, my grandma it was a hit.
My grandmothers dog used to open his milk bones himself, then again he also loved candy canes and would steal them of the tree. He also wore a reindeer antler headband, very cute on his Chessy body.
