My horse riding instructor always uses them and he says they work great. He said i should purchase a pair to disipline my horse. But I was wondering if the horse suffers cause his horse has little marks on her side from using them. I have a whip if my horse gets out of line but dont really want to use spurs.

There has been a small deer coming in to eat all summer. He is sick and sounds like he has pneumonia. His breathing has always been very labored, but it is worse than ever. I can hear his extremely raspy breathing from 50 feet away. Can I give him human antibiotics? Does anyone have any suggestions?

my hamster has what i think to be wet tail, only his tail is dry, he has this clicking noise coming from him, i assume its coming from his head, he hasnt been droped by me, however, he was abused when i rescued him, my problem is now when i pick him up to see if hes still ok, there is this residue on my hand, and i assume thats diahreah, but the other thing is, he sleeps in the wheel alot, i have him 6 drops of dritail today, and it doesnt seem to have worked, as he was better before i gave him some, he has goten worse, now he has this sems like its wet patch of fur on his back, away from the tail aeria, its about the size of a button battery, a small patch of what appears to be wet fur, only its not wet, i cant dry it off. should i remove his wheel? only to stop him from over exerting himself? i dont know, ive never had a sick hamster before, i changed his cage and cleened everything there when i gave him some meds, he has a cage mate, should i put the sick one in a box for a cage?

I am taking care of a friends cat for a while and he has been limping. After examing his leg (which didn't bother him in the least) I noticed that he wouldn't exend his claws. When I looked 1 nail is disolored and that's when he jumped a little. I want to take him to the vet but it's not my cat. Just wanting to know if anyone has dealt with this or not before I take my friends cat to the vet?

I bought 2 chinese dwarf hamsters just over 2 weeks ago, everything is fine, they are happy, active, bright eyed and bushy tailed ect. the only thing that is worrying me is that quite often i hear one making little noises that sound almost like chirupping noises (quite cute!) and watching her it looks like she has hiccups, then she franticaly washes her nose which seems to make it worse, she hasnt got a runny nose, her eyes are clear, poos are solid, what could be causing it? the only other thing i can think of is maybe an allergy to the bedding? (sawdust) or maybe i just have a very vocal hamster! any advice would be gratefully received. Her sister is making no noise at all.

Does anyone have advice regarding the health check of a horse before purchase? What are some of the important things that should be checked? Also, have you run into problems with the purchase of a horse that you wish you would have known about before the purchase? I am considering the purchase of a horse and would appreciate any experience you could share so that I (and others) can avoid making the same mistakes.

An additional question: Should I be concerned if the horse likes to grind its teeth while working on the bit? This seems like just a bad habit as the teeth have been regularly floated, but I just worry that there might be health and/or performance problems as a result of this habit. Anyone have any experience with this problem?

Thanks so much for your help !!!
