I bought 2 chinese dwarf hamsters just over 2 weeks ago, everything is fine, they are happy, active, bright eyed and bushy tailed ect. the only thing that is worrying me is that quite often i hear one making little noises that sound almost like chirupping noises (quite cute!) and watching her it looks like she has hiccups, then she franticaly washes her nose which seems to make it worse, she hasnt got a runny nose, her eyes are clear, poos are solid, what could be causing it? the only other thing i can think of is maybe an allergy to the bedding? (sawdust) or maybe i just have a very vocal hamster! any advice would be gratefully received. Her sister is making no noise at all.

Hamsters, just like humans, all have their own personalities. Generally they are very quiet little creatures who make no sound, but I have had a couple who were very chatty! The noise they make is just as you describe, rather chirrupy, or a tutting sound. They also like to keep themselves clean and you will often see them grooming themselves, particularly after being handled. If your pet is not off her food, eyes/nose/tail/ears etc are all clear and she is a good healthy looking size then I would not worry too much. You could try changing her bedding to see if that makes any difference, but it may just be how she is!

All rodents are at risk of a respitory disease called mycoplasma take the hamster to the vet they will usually give antibiotic shots and antibiotic water for them to drink (take both as though u may not hear nothing the vert might )

Check at the pet store for better bedding. It is probably not the same stuff they used. Aspen is the best - the rest can cause reactions and are too dusty.

It sounds like it probably is an allergy. Try swapping the type of bedding you use until the irritation stops.
