I don't agree at all. The idea of killing healthy creatures just because of money appalls me. There is ALWAYS a home out there, you've just got to find it.

I expect homes and shelters for orphan children are crowded, but who's going to suggest we euthanise them? I hate this attitude that we can play God with animals. As far as I am concerned a dog or a cat has as much right to life as people do.

I am an animal lover but also a realist. I understand euthanasia because there is only so much funding and resources you have to work with. In a perfect world every pet would be adopted and we all go home happy. I have a rescued cat and we have a blast, I know I can't rescue all kitties, so I understand euthanasia. They can only do so much. Just support your shelter with either money or volunteer work, it helps the animals live longer, but if people don't adopt them there is only so much you can do.

I hate it, but the realistic issue of shelters is overcrowding with more and more animals coming into them because of irresponsible pet owners. I don't believe it in, but I understand it has to happen.

Animals don't deserve to die by our hands. Can you euthanise a person that can no longer take care of themselves or live in over-crowded shelters?
