i would say no other alternatives are small animal play pens or ifyou have time use a leash a walk around the housse with him. mine where mostly outside rabbits(except in winter) and i just made a pen out of wire, i don't rember what it was but the bars were spaced 1"by 2" rectangles and could be stuck in the ground. check out marshallpet.com they have things for rabbits too i only have ferrets now so i haven't checked out the rabbit link.

You do not need to worry about the "hopping" problem. Rabbits can walk and crawl as they please. Now, putting it in the ball is safe, your rabbit will get plenty of oxygen and won't get lost, but if your rabbit is large it may feel very uncomfortable or cramped inside the ball. Make sure your rabbit has enough room to maneuver within the ball. Also, put the ball in a large room with the door closed, as they can easily get lost/stuck/or fall down stairs.

No it's not okay, because they can't really more like rodents can, and by the way rabbits are not rodents. And when you get them in there, how are you going to get then out. Because I put a guinea pig in a hamster ball before and it took me along time to get her out.

No its not a good idea. If you want to let the rabbit run around just do some bunny proofing.

No! But i think you already know that. You could cause the rabbit to have serious injury. Geez, I wish the trollers would go away.

They are not made for large rodents, and yes rabbits are rodents. Many people, even rabbit owners, dont know that.

no. don't do it. you'd be better off putting newspaper down and letting him hop around.
They can be trained to use a cat box too. (no messes)

Please no. It's bad for them, they can injure themselves, especially because of their legs. I tried it when I was seven years old and my pet rabbit got bruised around the joints.
