Tubes are great, so are boxes. All kinds, different sizes and shapes. Cut holes into them and stack them so they can climb from one to the other like in a maze. They love that. They like anything they are not supposed to have, of course. Like cell phones, remote controls and car keys.
Watch out for anything with rubber or foam. Check it frequently to make sure they didn't chew on it. Once a piece of it is swalled it can swell up from the gastric juices and cause a blockage which often has to be removed surgically.
I get a large square dish, like a cake pan, put an inch or better of water into it and let the fur kids play with it. I throw the little wiffle balls with the bells in it and they love to "rescue" them. I also put their baby toys, like plastic car keys and rattles in.
Make them a digging box. Take a large container, like Rubbermaid or so and fill it with either biodegradable packing peanuts or rice. They love to dig.
Ferrets like most cat toys, like the bell and feathers on an elastic band hanging from a "fishing pole" or the "Kitten Mitten".
For enrichment let them sniff out something they haven't smelled yet. Ferrets are very olfactory animals and love new scents. You could let them check out an empty pizza carton or a bag you brought groceries home in.
Make ice cubes out of water and Ferretone, water and baby food(chicken and gravy, turkey and gravy), water and treats and whatever else you can think of. Put them in a shallow dish and watch your guys chase them around.
One of our favorite games is the Towel Ride, where I pull a large beach towel around on the floor in front of them. One by one they all jump on and try to either hold on for dear life or climb up to my hands. We keep going around and around until they all fall off with exhaustion. Most times I wear out first though.
Another favorite toy is an old pair of sweat pants or jeans to tunnel in. There's no end to what can be a toy. Heck, my youngest girl Socks loves my turkey baster. She steals it and hides it in her hidey hole. She gets mad when I take it back and doesn't rest until she got it back. I have no idea what the fascination is with that........Their absolute favorite toy is still:
ME!!
We have a ball just wrestling on the floor. You should see me dance when I have an unexpected visitor crawling up my pants. They love it and join my dancing, except they dook while they dance, I laugh.
PS: Vicky said that she really likes those star-shaped CHEWEASELS chew toys, so does Bart.
Have fun, enjoy. The best ferret toys are the homemade ones.
PPS: Beware of things like the Marshall's OCTOPLAY. It's a really neat looking toy in the shape of an octopus. It has exposed foam on the inside however and your ferret will eat that. It can cause bowel obstructions as well. Always check twice before spending a lot of money on an unsafe toy like that.
Oh, I almost forgot. Try to find CROCHETED EGGS for your ferts. They are plastic easter eggs with something inside that makes noise. They are wrapped in crocheted yarn. All four of my ferts just absolutely love those.

Mine always loved cat toys. Get some plush doll that has a bell in it. Within a few weeks they'll have ripped it open and removed the ball, but have a good time in the process. Don't get dog squeak toys, their jaws aren't strong enough to make it squeak.
Like everyone else said, get some of the dryer vent tubes. They go NUTS over those things, they're lots of fun to watch, too. Having two ferrets is more than twice the fun.

I agree a rabbit or a rat would be a good toy but ferrets also like to run down holes and under things, so mazes, tubes and the such like are very popular.

They love dirty socks, I'm not kidding. Anything with a human scent on it like that. They love tubing, carboard or flexible. They like the little cat toys with bells, or the mice, or the little plastic balls with the bell inside. Keep them away from anything squishy, like a foam ball. They will eat it and get sick. Same with mops, candles and such, they will eat them. They also like feet. Mine would chase mine, ocassionally nibbling. They like things like towels, or in my case, the plastic bags from the toilet paper or the supermarket. They would actually make a nest with them or steal them and drag them under the stove.

And oh yeah, another ferret. Do you have one, or two? It's been shown that they can die from loneliness, they do much better living with one other, or more, ferrets.

the best toy i ever gave my ferret was the flexible plastic tubing that goes from the back of a clothes dryer to the outside vent! it is sturdy and cheap. you can get it at wal-mart for like $6. i would wind it in and out of chair legs and she would go nuts over it! it is a great size and will provide your ferret with hours of adventure and amazement, not to mention it will provide you with a great deal of comedy!!

Hi being a ferret owner for a few years I would have to say that the best things for them are tubes & lots of them...boxes are also a great thing to play with but best of all are a combination of both & a ferret friend to have hours of playful fun with. http://ferretandfriends.piczo.com/ my website is still under construction but maybe you will visit it sometime.

My babies absolutley love small stuffed animals, they take them from my daughters room and play with them. I even bought them a pairof bunny slippers because they kept taking mine! Chica sleeps with hers. Mine also like empty cardboard cartons from a 12 or 24 pack of pop.
