Like someone else mentioned - don't give them a wheel! Piggies aren't as flexible as hamsters and mice and such and it's not good for their back at all. Here's a list of things that are okay for them and that mine love!

- BIRD toys. The kind that hang - but make sure you get ones only made of wood & string, a little bell at the end is okay. Try to avoid the ones with plastic beads.
- Shoeboxes / cardboard boxes - cut a hole so they can climb in and hide.
- Plastic igloo-shaped "pigloos" you can buy at most pet stores make great hidey places.
- Crumpled newspaper
- Paper towel / toiled paper rolls - slit them down the middle and stuff hay inside.
- Wooden chew sticks
- The soft cloth hammocks designed for ferrets are okay for piggies

Piggies are going to be less interested in balls, etc. and more interested in toys that double as hiding places or something they can chew on. It's the nature of the beast! =) Good luck!

J Charles is right - they do love tunneling and climbing. I like to get a few sheets of newspaper, crumple them lightly, and put it in their cage. They go crazy running through the newspaper - they love it. After a while it's all trampled, then you can just take it out. Also, boxes (cereal boxes, shoe boxes, etc) that are big enough can be put in their cages. Just make sure they wouldn't get stuck in them. You can cut holes in them, too, if needed. I read on one website you can do the same thing with hay - put a lot of hay in a small kiddie pool and let your pigs run around inside. I think this sounds fun, just a little messy to clean.

Wooden bird toys are acceptable since they are safe to chew and very easy to find, and piggies love to chew, chew, chew! just be sure it does not have any plastic parts or thin chain holding it together, that is hazardous to a piggie.
Pet stores usually have a HUGE selection of bird toys, good luck.

A wheel is very dangerous for a piggie. Some like to play with a little plastic ball with a bell in it. They like things to hide in mostly.
