He is approx. 15 yrs. old and is really losing a lot of weight...he meows to be fed all the time but when fed he acts as if he doesn't want what's served. I have changed the varieties and brands, he tires of them quickly. He will, however eat human food, such as chicken, steak, etc. most any meat. AND, he does throw up at least twice a week....What gives???? I don't think he has worms, don't see any in his stool. Any feedback will be appreciated. Thanks.

I have a 5yr old black lab/chow mix. He has been our "baby" for the last 5 years. Last night, my husband tried to bring him in from outside. He is very stubborn and didn't want to come in. He growled, but my husband still reached for his collar. He snapped and bit my husbands lower lip pretty bad (needed stiches). We are going to have our first baby in a few weeks. What should I do with him. My head says get rid of him, but my heart breaks everytime I think of it. Who should I talk to? Would my next step be to try to have him go to obedience training? I am sooo confused!

I just sprayed my cat with hertz 2 in 1 flea and tick spray.. I followed the directions and sprayed him, but now he is trying to climb the walls. He's going crazy so I dried him off, he keeps licking himself and everytime he does he runs around like a psycho trying to climb the curtains and whatever else he can find. Is this normal? Should I wash it off?

The flow of this filter is slowing down. It is approx 3 years old. Will replacing the impellor assembly solve problem? Various Eheim sites do not give recommendations, just sell parts.

Ok I have this aquatic turtle since last year, I am keeping it in a recipient big enough for her with a little water. I feed her with turtle food everyday. Her health seems ok.

BUT, recently I have found turtles walking around my backyard which are WAAAAAAAY bigger than her. On spring break I saw a huge ones putting her eggs in a hole, and yesterday I saw another one who was big too, and mine stays tiny and it's been months and months without growing to that proportion.

What's wrong? Is it the recipient were I have her that allows her for getting big?. Or is it the pellets?

I want to start saving up for a decent riding horse. I don't need a pure breed Araibian, or Andelusian, or Fresian or anything. But Im not aiming for a shetland/miniature pony pony either. Id also like a good tempered horse. About how much would that tag off to?

I have a cat at home who is nearly a year old in july he's really cute and quit clever at things. Sometimes when i throw a paper ball he gose and chases it and picks it up with his mouth and brings it back to me, He knows his name and where he lives and miows at our other cat called Tammy. And every time i shake a box of cereal he comes running up to you and leaps up to make you stroke him. And that when i blink at both cats they blink back. And once Tammy found a mouse in a garden and was meowing at me i thought she wanted me to congratulate her

my male staff is demanding sooooo much attention we dont go out very often yet whislt we are in the dog either sits by our feet if i go upstairs he follows and is always near by whether we are i wondered if this was normal for a staff is it just a staffs behaviour? he,s also very jealous if i call the cat he,ll push the cat out of the way and come instead he,s even knocked a hot cup of coffee over so he could have the attention instead its not as if he dont get enough either as i said we rarly go out and are always stroking the dog and giving him kisses and talking to him/playing with him so is this normal behaviour for a staff? he also grunts a lot too and sounds more like a pig than a dog

While vacationing in Central Wisconsin I found a baby bird floating in the lake, about 100 yards from shore. It is NOT a water bird. I picked it up and brought it inside, wrapped it in towels and dried it off. I didn't think it'd make it, but it's doing okay. It has all of its feathers but still cannot fly. I'm feeding it a combination of wet dog food, sow bugs, moths, crickets, maggots. The thing eats anything. My question is what kind of bird is it? I'm a seasoned bird watcher but this one has confounded me. It's about 4 inches, no tail feathers, charcoal grey back, grey belly. Beak is like a starling (not yellow though, just the shape). It constantly squawks. Non-stop, only at night when he puts his head under his wing to sleep does it stop squawking. Any ornithologists out there who can help me figure out what the heck this thing is?
