Make sur this is the right spray that you gave your cat, you could really hurt him. First check with a doctor or just wait a while and see if he calms down, he might just be frightened. Try to calm him down. Hope he's okay.

YES WASH IT OFF. Your cat could be having an alergic reaction to the spray. I would shop around for another type treatment. I had one of my cats that after I treated her she started losing her fur as the treatment was too strong. We gave the cat a bath and used another flea treatment. The treatment we use is FRONT LINE PLUS. It is only available through our vets office. But it works and none of our cats have a bad reaction to it. Anything else and one of our cats has a reaction. So this is the best for us.

This is normal behaviour for a cat or dog, when they get chemically sprayed. If its a chemically safe product, I wouldn't worry too much, he'll eventually calm down. But, then again, he might be haveing a reaction from it. It might be like, makeing his skin crawling. And or very uncomfortable for him. Either, that or the fleas are attacking him even worse, because their dieing, and irretated, by the spray so much, their attacking him as much as they can before they die. who knows, but, I would eventually give him a bath, and relieve the poor kitty of his agony!!

Over the counter flea products are dangerous and or ineffective!! Let repeat that over the counter flea products are dangerous and ineffective!! Wash your cat off and DO NOT EVER use an OTC fle product again. These products HAVE not been tested by a non-biased party for safety. Many use chemicals which can EASILY poison or burn a cat.

first of all..is the spray for dogs? or is it made for cats? if its for dogs...wash him..the call the vet! you can kill a cat with DOG flea spray. its not made for cats.
second....if its for cats..then id say he's just annoyed, and doesn't like being wet.
id use the once a month treatment that you put on the back between the shoulder blades rather than the spray.
cats lick themselves to clean their fur. it could ingest enough flea spray by licking it, to hurt them.

Yes, cats are inherently crazy.
But, if you want to know what your cat is going through, try spraying that stuff all over your body and see how you like it.
It doesn't work if you wash it off, so no, you should not wash it off.

The cat is not used to the weight of the spray. I would give him a bath and try the kind that goes on the back of the neck. Get him a collar with a bell and he will forget you put something strange on his neck!!! Maybe a new toy to make it up to him!!!

He just don't like being sprayed with stuff. It would be the same if you sprayed him with water. He will get use to it after a few times.

He probably just doesn't like getting wet. Like it might just be something that annoys him so hes going nuts about it.
If you want to find out forsure, just try spraying him with plain water and see if he reacts the same way.

well if you appiled the flea stuff on him its usally normal for a cat or dog to go crazy, if they do that means the fleas are dieing on him. my animals cats and dogs do that so i would say its ok. ask a local vet if you still are worried.
