The flow of this filter is slowing down. It is approx 3 years old. Will replacing the impellor assembly solve problem? Various Eheim sites do not give recommendations, just sell parts.

Your traditional Eheim canisters don't have filter bags, and most shops haven't even heard of them. I would try cleaning the media in dechlored tank water, and flush out the hoses. A long piece of wire with a small rag at the end works great for really grungy lines. This is the usual problem with canisters that slow down.

Giving the impeller a rinse will help as well. The impeller should be fine, they last for many years.

I have 5 different Eheim canisters running at this time, a couple are much older than 3 years. They run forever.

hi the most important benefit from chilly air intakes is noise, fantastically on multivalve engines. you could now and again sense a crisper throttle reaction on initial shy away. The BHP strengthen is in uncomplicated phrases very moderate, regularly about a million or 2 BHP, besides the undeniable fact that it differs in accordance to engine specifics. you could make your human being added change with a length of versatile hosing, consisting of the kind perfect for hoover cleaners. All you do is restoration one end to the interior the front grill so as that the open end is dealing with ahead, and then direct the different end on the intense flow air clear out, being careful the way you direction it for sure. this may then gush shed a good number of chilly air onto the air clear out as you're using alongside. On vehicles with carburettors, only setting up a intense flow air clear out easily decreases the means somewhat because it weakens out the aggregate because of the lack of airflow sensors, so carb engined verhicles easily favor to have the emissions became up after the clear out has been outfitted because there is an probability that they'd be operating somewhat too lean.
