I work with birds so all this info is good and it works.
So you found a baby bird and you want to help it well listen up.

First make shur the parent is not around leave it in the spot for about 45 mins parent birds want to stay away from there baby's as much as possible to avoid preditores.

So you waited and theres no parents so you take it home.
Now put this baby bird in a small cage or box with a small heating pad and for shur if it does not have feathers.

Now you can phone a animal wild life centre and tell them you have a baby bird or if you realy know how take care of it yourself which then you can probably not realese it back in the wild because it does not know how to survive so its your pet for life.

So heres a baby bird formula NOT for baby pigeons just song birds.
1 cup of dog food. Senior purina is good
1 boiled egg.
1 tums mint is ok.
1/4 Apple sauce.
Now let the dog food sit for a while till it gets mooshy then add the other ingredients and moosh it up.

I have a very large German Shephard/Border Collie mix beautiful boy. He runs alot in our backyard, but I don't think the grass would wear down his nails. Any ideas on how often??

I'm a very conscientious dog owner, I promise. From time to time, though, the dog will get into something and roll around in it and come back inside (peeyeeew!) smelling just awful. Bathing this dog is a MAJOR hassle (some dogs are cool with it, but not this one) and normally requires a $75 groomer visit. It was so ongodly once when I had guests over, that I sprayed Febreeze on him and it worked wonders in that emergency, but I'm wondering about the safety of that practice. Is there a safer product that would accomplish some odor abatement in between groomings? Someone out there has been through this, I'm just sure of it.

A tiny turtle just walked into our house. I have no idea where it came from since the river is a long way from here. I know nothing about turtles but it's really cute and so small about 2 inches wide and long. i put it in a little bowl with water and it started swimming but now it's not doing much.
So could anyone tell me the basics about turtles where should it live, what does it eat??

They are both 14 years old -- from the same litter.

All their lives they have occasionally urinated outside the litter box. In the past few years, it is getting worse.

They have ruined carpet and bedding. I know I will have to replace these, but I am waiting until the cats are gone so that they don't ruin the new ones too.

I tried to put plastic down in the places they tend to go, but still cleaning up after them is a daily chore.

I have to keep them restricted from roaming the house, so that I will know where their messes are. Despite daily cleaning, that part of the house is gross. Also I hardly ever see them or interact with them, because they are isolated.

They are fairly healthy - have some conditions that require daily medication but are stable.

I have loved these cats, and don't want to get to the point where I really hate them. I want the last memories of them to be good. They aren't part of my life any more, but I don't want to kill them either.

I walk my dog about 2-3 times a day and he always does a #2 on our walks. of course, this is in someone else's yard.
i always clean it up...ALWAYS!!!!

but, i was wondering if anyone felt this was rude behavior??
i mean, i can't control where he's going to go and i can't not take him for walks...so, would you mind if he used your yard as long as you knew it would be cleaned up????

thanks!

They're experts at it. Does it come naturally or do they learn it?
