I despise the total control of the American 'free media' by Liberals. So I created this blog to help me get the message out there that the Liberals aren't so high and mighty. should'nt we be teaching our children a way to peace?

I have watched some news stations (Fox), read many blogs and seen so many webistes where people were overjoyed with the fact that Paris is going to jail. I think this mob mentality is a little sad. I am not saying that she shouldn't be punished, but it seems like people are screaming for blood. She didn't kill anyone. The fact is, most people who have commited crimes such as hers or worse, have had much less or NO jail time.

From the Mtv Music awards to the blogs, to the news channels etc. You have all done a great job of making Paris feel alone and hated. Good job, I hope you are all proud.

“China is now Communist in name only after three decades of market reforms which along with breakneck growth have brought income disparities, widespread corruption and an ideological vacuum.” BEIJING (Reuters) May 17, 2007.

That paragraph stunned me the first time I read it, for the first time in the west I have seen a major news organization, Reuters, accurately say that China is Communist in name only, something I have been saying since my first visit here.

Where I take exception to the paragraph is the tone and the impression it gives. By saying things like, “breakneck growth have brought income disparities,” while not pointing out we have roughly the same disparity, “widespread corruption,” without point out corruption has been a huge problem in China since the beginning of time while giving the impression it is a new phenomenon all while ignoring that China is currently taking huge steps problem in China since the beginning of time while ---------------(more)

I was looking on Google news and found that there were 2,553 articles on the G8 summit, and 2,958 on Paris Hilton being sent to jail. Over 400 more articles on some spoiled celebrity than on something that actually effects the entire world. Why has news reporting become such an asinine spectacle?

ok so we have a lot of people who call for the banning of Harry Potter for it's supposed witchcraft implications. many calling fortune tellers and others are against the Bible. didn't Solomon go to a seer or fortune teller, weren't many of the Hebrews become seers and dream tellers or fortune tellers. I am not saying they practiced any witchcraft but by the edicts I am hearing on this debate they should have been thrown out as witches. if you don't want your kids reading the books. ok. why are you telling everyone else they can't read it as well? the Hebrews were among the Egyptians but didn't try to convert them. they were among the romans but weren't trying to convert them either. they just lived their life and showed what and how their life was filled letting others ask to learn not throwing it down their throats.
Do I have this wrong or should I put some quotes from the Bible on here that says to show not force others how to live?

Should the media focus more on the 'good' things that happen in the world rather than solely focusing on the likes of war, violent crime, hate, bigotry, prejudice....etc

Or is there nothing 'good' in the world that needs reporting.
