I think she should get whatever sentence they gave her to begin with. I'm glad they are sending her back to jail to finish out the full 45 days. Just because she is a celebrity doesn't mean she should get special treatment. You play, you pay!

Well, as much as I loathe Paris Hilton, it seems silly that she is being made an example of simply due to a mistake by the Sheriff's Dept. She should go back to jail to finish the 23 day sentence, not the original 45. She is serving an extra 20+ days because the Sheriff's Dept messed up. That is the only unfair part of it.

The judge and the prosecutors are only adding to the media circus by drawing this affair out. Methinks they are trying to get a taste of Paris' celebrity.

But perhaps I'm just being cynical.

As much as I believe she is a spoiled little rich girl, it is unheard of to get 45 days for a DUI. Folks get lesser of a sentence or probation for committing much worse. The media has contributed a great deal to her image and behavior. Fans that love her and hate her are also partially responsible. The media would not cover her life in such detail if we didn't show so much interest. She is being made an example of by the Judge and public influence. Hilton should never have been incarcerated for DUI in the first place. Our legal system needs to focus on priorities such as violent crime and not waste their time with placing non-violent little rich girls in jail. The reality is that our criminal justice system needs a major overhaul. Playing games with Hilton as the Judge has done, to make a name for himself or whatever his motivation maybe, is foolish. We should be focusing as a nation on how to bring our troops home, or how to resolve the influx of illegals into this country. Forget Paris!

I think she should be sent to jail for the full 45 days, in general population and I think her license should be suspended for a year. What people tend to forget is her original infraction was a DUI. suppose she had killed someone.

Then while on probation she was stopped again.

And now we are suppose to believe she would have stayed at home and followed the rules?

Today she screamed for her mommy in court and said she was not being treated fairly.

Her lax sentence and special treatment is not fair to the average person who has no celebrity that loses their car, a couple weeks pay in fines and their license and still does jail time.

It's time for her to deal with the consequences of her actions.

It's getting WAY too much attention. She did the "deed", now she should do the consequences- so we can get on with our lives! ENOUGH about P.H. -already!!! :( There are people in the World who are "dying" to get our attention- and we're obsessing about the fate of a reckless driver!

If even one person that pays attention to her saga avoids driving drunk, it's worth it for her to serve her entire sentence of 45 days.

I'm no Paris fan. I think she should have had to do 45 days flat. BUT... But the sheriff let her go. She shouldn't have to go back.

Fair.
I just hope she does not go for a reality show in there. It might just work.
