I think the USA is a PURE RACIST COUNTRY..why? well lately with have been bombarded by Imus and his scandalous show..today the motion is directed to Hip-Hop being the cause for derogative languages toward women and african american women in particular....here is my question: We have seen the like of Howard stern, Girl Gone Wild portraying women specially White Women in all can of sexual way, denigrating way.......but as you see: NO TV NEWS have explore the path of judging these ways and particulary I have not seen the like of ABC, CNN....(list goes on) have a talk about "why White Men are abusing White Women? "and "Why White Men are portraying White Women That Way?".....More I have never heard of a White America, nor an African American sit on tv and discuss that particular matter......
Now Why do White America love to find bad issu about specially black america and latino as point of discussion when they are themself full of hidden disgusting mentallity??? his there a double standard

It has been well over 10 years but the first one was hilarious. Should Howard go "old school".

Watching his reaction to the Imus situation, in and of itself, does not lead to this conclusion. But read http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20070414/ap_on_el_pr/on_the2008_trail_38 , and keep in mind that one of his biggest contributers is David Geffen, the head of Interscope Records, the company of Timbaland and Eminem. Should he return his donations or be labeled a hypocrite? (haha, return money, yeah right)

1955 Sharpiton led a protest calling a Jewish landlord a white intrloper after the landlord terminated a blackowner's store lease. Landlord own store later torch eight people were killed.

Jackson refered to N.Y. City as" Hymietown "and Jews "Hymies" 1984 inteview with Washington Post
These self appointed arbiters of acceptal speech apparently have made peace with ther own racist babblings.

I mean it's not like anything else the rappers haven't said. I mean not to sound racist, but whenever a black person says something like that he's looked over, but when a white person says it it's considered racism. Al Sharpton set him up so Imus would get trashed by the media. He knew he would say something like that. I don't agree with Imus and I don't agree with Sharpton. I tell you today, Americans cannot handle the truth!! I mean it's like those rappers want girls to become prostitutes and the boys to be pimps. It's crazy!!! Why do we keep bagging on Imus??!!

I don't think so. Yes, what we said was dumb, but what about the other conserative talkers like Rush Limbaugh, Sean Hannity and others. They have gotten away with so much without fanfare. Don was used as a scapegoat in this case and of course Jesse Jackson and Al Sharpton has called people "white trash" without getting into trouble. Double standard I say. Black people are too sensitive and they need to lighten up.

Clive Davis
David Geffen
Richard Branson
Tommy Mattola

Beside's the fact that each are worth more than 100 million a piece and hold the distribution rights to 75% of the rap industry.
People are quick to point out the hypocricy in others but fail to see it in themselve.
GM Pull their adds from imus ,but wasnt it Crystler who solicited Snoop dawg along with Lee Iococa for its commercials?and cadilac had him design the Snoop Devile.
How can anyone hold the black community soley responsible for rap music ,when its simple supply and demand .the supply urban communities the demand the suburbs who account for 60% of all sales.
And a double standard if any would be not to hold the above mention gentlemen who have built empires, equally responsible.

Ciggarettes are known killers thats an undeniable fact.
"Why dont we hold the the employees of Phillip Morris responsible"

Lois Farrakhan gets Don Imus fired for something a rap or hip hop artist would say in their lyrics, I believe that this activity is very hypocritical of him to do so and he should be called on it.

poverty? health care? crime rates? It is easy to try to get fame by solving an isolated incident..... Imus is Imus OKAY.... maybe we should ban any music that degrades others? But , another can of worms will be opened.

And Should it?
I have to admit after watching this fiasco all week I've got some serious doubts about an Obama Presidency now.

And to me at least that's sad because I really thought Obama would bring unity to this country at least thats what he's preachin.

I don't want to give Rev.Al Sharpton or Rev Jesse Jackson anymore power than they already have.
They are divisive and we have had enough of that.
So what do you think?
Feel free to comment any aspect of the Imus controversy, and yes I feel he should of apologized for the remark. The rest overkill.

Ok, a lot of people are saying Don Imus shouldn't have been fired, but as a teacher I can tell you with 100% certainty if I called any of my children a "ho" or "nappy headed ho" the school board would find out and I would be fired immediately. So, why shouldn't someone in a position like Mr. Imus be held to the same standard. And no I don't condone rap lyrics, thats a large part of what is wrong with the children I teach today. So I think CBS and MSNBC made the right call.

Maybe we could just shut down ALL media outlets except for BET. Maybe that would make Jackson and Sharpton happy.
