He provoked derisive laughter by responding to a question about Iran's execution of homosexuals by saying: "In Iran we don't have homosexuals like in your country ... I don't know who's told you that we have this."

It's pretty true, I mean, when was the last time you saw an Iranian gay guy in pink short shorts and a leather vest saying "Jesus Christ it's hot out herrrree!" I haven't... So it must be true, in Iran they don't have homosexuals like in this country.

just another example of people taking his words to mean something more than they really do! he wasnt trying to be mean there, i dont think

Presuming she was killed and dumped in the sea, as the latest theory goes, would the corpse have washed up by now? I kow that they obviously would have tied something to the corpse (god, I feel horrible even thinking about it) but over time, could the rope they used unravel? or maybe over time the body would get washed to shore?

Any tidal experts on here tonight?

Is it just me or is this whole General Petraeus ad overblown? What ever happened to free speech? I personally do not think the ad was tasteful or warranted even though I vehemently oppose the war. Yet Sean Hannity, Bill O'Reiley and almost every other GOP pundit won't let the stupid thing go. There are much more important things going on in the world. Like the actual war, the jena 6, Israel decided to bomb Syria this week, the president of Iran is in town, school shootings in Delaware. What do you all think?

What is your opinion of the visit of Ahmandinejad?? Do you think it was a mistake or was it a good show of our freedom of speach to allow this dictator the freedom to talk to the students and faculty at Columbia University??

So far the man has denied the Holocaust, called outright for the destruction of Israel, and fallen in with the 9/11 conspiracy theorists.

He needs to be slapped around a few times.

no I dont support Iran...No I dont support this iranian wacko and I especially dont support Islam...I find Islam to be quite disgusting, a worse cancer then that of christianity....however, the president of Iran has balls to come to a country that hates him and speak to a country that will probably attack his country next year....when will you see Bush make his speach in Iran?

I've had yahoo as my homepage for years and glance at the days headlines. There are definitely some left leaning headlines that raise concern. The media is notorious for this. Since the internet, network news, and U.S. colleges and universities are the last pulpit for the libs to spread their pompous, moronic ideology, the average citizen is waking up. The attraction to alternative media has been growing exponentially, such as AM radio and the blogosphere. They are leveling the playing field and causing the left to behave accordingly.

After reading a question on YA about the McCanns which attracted 40 plus answers of which the vast majority could be deamed as 'anti' McCann, somebody retorted that there is a different opinion (ie pro McCann) in the 'Real World'.

I personally can only name one person I have spoken to over the last 5 months who believes that the McCanns are 'totally innocent'

Is the 'real world' like YA, or (ironically) the 'Mirror Forum' where the majority could be considered 'Anti McCann' or is it more like the views of Lori Campbell of the Sunday Mirror where everyone sympathises with the McCanns (ie 'Pro McCann') and anyone who dont is a 'sicko' ?

Basically, that's where they legalize homosexual civil unions to prove it's a stupid thing to have illegal. But at the same time, they don't decriminalize homosexuality. Using this then, to prove that there are no homosexuals in the country. Eritrea was the first to do it, now they changed it, is Iran next?

It sure seems that way here. They seem to know a lot more about the latest crap on O'Reilly's show or what Sean Hannity said yesterday. Why don't they just turn the channel?

I am sick and tired of this word being used by people who dont even understand what it means.
Should people who call people racist, when they are not and are just making a valid point, be punished just as severely as a real racist would be?
