We are to blame! We outsource to other contries trying to make things cheaper and the stock price goes up. In long run, how much is Mattel losing in all the recalls. Unfortunately, Mattel won't be hurtin, when they pass on that recall price to us consumers.

The Chinese maker because they do not seem
to care if they are hurting anyone or not.
Look what they did in the pet food industry.
Do you REALLY think that they are concerned about anyone?
Don't blame American companies, take it back to the original source.
This is what will be the final downfall of our great nation.
We will trust some foreign country too much and it will be a food source
or
something that will end up killing us all.
Pandemic Flu is still,... a probability.

The American Companies, they apologize to China, of course after that fact. I feel that they should have taken a look, at what America was doing before the started pointing fingers, at the Chinese.

It makes me wonder sometimes, what this county really stand for. Cheaper is not always better.

Have a good day.

Mattel.

Mattel knew exactly what was happening. They knew those toys were tainted. They knew the Chinese workers were ordered to produce those toys in horrible working conditions. They did it simply because they and the Chinese government allowed it. Of course, they knew about the lead. Their own inspectors would have been idiots to have missed that, and even more stupid to think it would not have been discovered. They were paid off to sign off.

Blame Mattel.. and do not buy any more toys from them.

We are to blame of course. We are the ones that got "global economy" off the ground. We sold our souls to the Chinese, the Japanese and everyone else who imports into this country (except of course the Europeans who do manufacture superior clothing, shoes, etc.). Shame on us--we got what we paid for! Inferior and dangerous products! I myself always try to avoid buying anything made in China, Taiwan, etc.

We are. Because we insist on cheaper toys for our kids. Well, we GOT what we paid for. If you want cheap AND safer toys- EXPECT them to get more expensive.
