Basically, that's where they legalize homosexual civil unions to prove it's a stupid thing to have illegal. But at the same time, they don't decriminalize homosexuality. Using this then, to prove that there are no homosexuals in the country. Eritrea was the first to do it, now they changed it, is Iran next?

No, civil unions. It was under their former regime in the early 2000's.

It seems that Iran is in last place in evolved thinking. They treat their own woman as half-worth citizens.

Well, the President of Iran was at Columbia University today saying there are no homosexuals in Iran. I don't think they would even admit gay people exist there, let alone do anything that looks remotely pro-gay.

I doubt that as strict as they are the Irainian govt would do anything that might look favorable to homosexuals. Even if they have a secert agenda.
