I am amused how we consider this child to be a "miracle", but do the woman who dispose of their "fetuses" for the sake of convenience feel the same way? Looking at body parts in a stainless steel bucket, in little pieces?

Can you imagine...about 50,000,000 miracles at the bottom of America's landfills...since 1973.

I sometimes wonder about "laws" and "rights". It was once my right in this country to own slaves...is this a moral issue? A cultural issue? Are man's laws a guide or a moral compass?

Over the weekend, the Washington Post broke this story--disabled veterans living in rat-invested quarters--while Bush only visits those in the nice showpiece facilities across the street.

Now the White House doesn't want to answer questions about this neglet of our troops who have suffered permanent disabiity in the service of thieir country.

So who's picking up the ball? Who is moving in to fix this situation--and investigate how this injustice occurred?

The Democrats. Bush can't be bothered to even comment--I guess being seen with a vet trapped in a rodent invested room isn't a good photo op. So much for who really cares about our soldiers.

After man u/lille match fergie was being interviewed... reporter asked"have u ever seen anything like that? was it intimidation by the lille players?" alex responded with a vague "yeah yeah" as he tried to collect his thoughts... 2 mins later u see the same reporter, later, sensationally reporting to the studio that fergie had said "IT WAS INTIMIDATION BY THE LILLE PLAYERS".... What is it with journalists??.... makes me think about ITN news reader(maybe nicholas owen?? cant remember his name) and the joy in his eyes when 2 more bodies had been found in Ipswich few months back...god he was loving it... next day he hosted news at ten in his best coat from ipswich red light district!

[well the leaders anyway] just needs the president to sign it into laws
and all the leaders arrested by northern alliance get pardon
noting wantonimo the big guy [you know the white dude;hicks]
the leader that means army must obey international law od parden and set him free
he is either a leader or why would they want to get him so bad '
4 years without trial
is this fair?
does god move in mysterious ways or what?

He signs a cheap oil deal with Chavez of Venezuela. Is Ken Livingstone a complete moron? What the heck is this guy thinking? Why would he sign a deal with an oppresive dictator who is systematically undoing democracy in Latin America and has an abysmal human rights record? Why would London, one of the world's richest cities, need to strike a deal for cheap oil for its disadvantaged citizens? Ken Livingstone is another example of the absurdity of socialism.

my friends and i are debating if africa is in as much turmoil as we see on the news. one person believes all of africa is behind in everything, from technology, to human rights, to civilization. another says that africa is a thriving country simular to and even more advance than america and that a very small percent (5-10) of the entire continent is in turmoil.she feels the tales on the tv are hard luck stories. i believe it is 50/50. while i am smart enough to know that africans are not running around in loin cloths i do not believe that the vast majority of the continent is fuctuning at what my american mind feels is the norm. i might add that we are all african americans with little contact with native africans,. the few we have met are not as forthcoming with us outsiders.please if you know or you are an african please chip in. we need to know the truth so our ignorance does not consume us. what is africa like
could you relocated to africa they way people relocate to america

There's a war going on, a new Congress, an immigration problem, and a rebounding economy. Yet the top stories are Britney Spears' hair and Anna Nicole Smith's baby. Is this what the Founding Fathers envisioned when they drafted the First Amendment?
