I know is hard to accept it, and learn about it, at at least it is to me. Is easy to imagine what if is not true? beacuse we have nothing to loose. But what if it is true?

Get online and do some research on Global warming. The facts are in - man kind has done more to the environment and the atmosphere in the last 100 to 200 years than was done in the last 10000 to 100000 years by nature alone. Yes there are nature cycles that impact our climate and global trends in regards to planetary temps, ocean temps and weather patterns. These are large scale, long term type events that have been in place for millions of years and adjust based upon factors related to solar activity, where our planet is in the galaxy (our solar systems orbit in our galaxy). The short term effects are due to the buring of coal and other fossil fuels, the build up of green house gases and other mankind effects that impact our world.

There is no way to convince either side of the others position - kind of like telling somone who believes the world if flat that it is round or that there is a God to somone who believes there is not. Each of us, must decide for ourseleves what is true and what is not.

The real question is are you willing to take the chance that our wasteful behavior and lack of action to pursue other fuels and to protect our environment will have no impact down the road in say 50, 100 or even 200 years. Sure it makes no differenc to you or I or even anyone alive today because in 100 or 200 years we will all be dead, but to those who will live for the next 50 years, the truth will be evident one way or the other. It is like back in the mid-70's I did an article on oil and the general belief than was that there was about 50 or 60 years of oil left - well here we are nearly 30+ years later and we are being told there is still 50 to 60 years worth of oil in the ground. In another 30 to 40 years I am sure that we will still be told there is 50 to 60 years worth of oil in the ground. How long can we keep buring fuels that pollute our air and alter our atmosphere before we see the impact?

Another reality is that US auto makers have no incentive to produce vehicles that use hydrogen fuels or get better gas milage - fact - nearly 20 years ago the avg use car got about 18 to 24mpg, guess what, most US cars today still only get 20 to 26 mpg. Can you believe that in 20 years we have not made an engine that can get 35 to 45 mpg? Americans are wasteful, we feel it is our right to consume more energy than an other country and then have the balls to tell other countries what to do or how to use energy.

So believe what you want, but do your homework and do your part to protect the only planet we have to live on for who knows how long, becasue when it is ruined and wasted and burnt out, we have no place else to go.

Scientist can only project possible problems occurring with Global Warming. Only the distant future will tell the real story. Are we willing to wait until It's too late?

In the last 100 years the average temperature has gone up less than one degree. I want to see it go up at least five degrees in the next 100. Then I'll make my decision.

If you believe the hundreds of scientists who say it's true then you probably have nothing to lose, however, your children and grandchildren will have much to lose.

When the Polar Ice caps melt and the sea level rises 23 feet, then you will know the World is warming.

Until then, keep burning those fossil fuels......

You should watch Inconvenient Truth. It is a documentary made by Al Gore. He explains in a simple yet informative way, you don't feel like it's over your head.
