Africa is (and has been) very unfortunately subject to colonization and cultural genocide the same way America was years ago. It is disgusting! It should be the Choice of African people what goes on in their country. It is not our place to say.
It isn't even our place to go there and help unless they ask us for it. Well we can help from here, we can stop electing politicians that support this crap. We can speak out against cultural genocide of All people and we can speak up for self determination of all people.

I am so surprised by the answers you are geting, but i guess i should not be. They are most likely only watching the evening news and have never set foot in Africa. Firts and foremost, it is a continent, a huge continent with 53 countries. I always feel bad when people refer to it as if it was a small place somewhere. From north to south, east to west, it has different people, cultures, religions, economies, societies, name it. So it depends which part of africa you are talking about. Countries can be veery different depending on their historical background, french-colonised countries have very different mentalities from english-colonised countries. All of the african countries of course are independent, but hundreds of years of colonisation always leave its mark. Yes, it is true that part of the conitnent is having trouble with internal conflicts or poverty, but that does not mean that a good part is not leaving a really good life in Africa. Many africans are better off in Africa than going to stay in the tower blocks of Paris, london, or in south carolina! in South Africa for example, some are doing very weel, have good jobs, big houses, go on holidays and spend their money shopping and leisure around the world. in Souht africa, you can expect almost the same level of economic advancement as what you see in many european countries. Of course, it is not generalised, but as long as you hae a good job, you have a good business, you really enjoy a good life, with the advantage of having a warm friendly social atmostphere, whcih is often lacking in Europe or the US. I have been working in an international organisation in Kenya, and some of the american and canadian staff had relocated from Washington DC, and belive me you, they are not unhappy. With the same amount of salary, they can leave in a 2-acre house, have good times visiting the country, and save money for back home. Many african people also live like that, eventhough some of us remain very poor. What you see on TV from time to time, are just to keep the news going, it is the the other extreme. the daily lives of some african people is at the end of the day very pleasant. Those who are so desperate to migrate to the US or to Europe do so because they are often not educated, therefore cannot contribute economically and socially, and have no means of generating some kind of wealth to support their needs. They go and jump on boats and often die trying. But not everyone want to do that.
Also, some africans look at Europe and America and feel sorry for you guys. Look at what happened with hurricane Katrina: the richest country in the world could not move faster to help its own people dying. Look at the divisions in the US between have and have-nots, white and blacks, i have been to Rochester and i was really taken aback by the proverty and the state in whcih young people hand in the streets doing nothing. look at the urban violence, the guns circulation, the solitude. the latest UNICEF report has shown that children in Britain and in the US are among the most unhappy children out of 21 richest countries in the world. Unhappy because of lack of social support, lack of family support, lack of attention.. it is quite sad, frankly. what is the point of having strong economies if children are unhappy? if poor people do not get access to health? if people can die of cold in the streets? I go behind a wise saying: Gross national happiness is better than Gross domestic production. Values in Africa evolve around other things than capitalism, money money money, and selfishness. At the very least, most africans are proud to still keep their values alive. and more and more, this young generation know what they want, african countries can't go any further down, we can only go up. And we are ready to work with those who will help us make it. Things will have to get better. In fact, we are all working towards that.

to not sound severe in direction of you mate, yet on an identical time as i replaced into residing in the USA i got here upon it somewhat thrilling while attending church and the quantity of ministries going to places, like South Africa, and then each and every of the praises that went up there for those persons going to love "dark Africa". My element is that i think of we've adequate of our very own right here and that this 'Christian coated working trip' element for somebody from the USA isn't actual a funky element, nor a logical course provided that ninety 4% of the electorate in the USA have no theory what's actual occurring exterior their own us of a. Secondly, coaching? have you ever learnt that training is a issue in South Africa, and not by using purely the shortcoming of centers, however the quite coaching team themselves? in assessment to the U. S. the place the infants are as morally chalanged as you will get, SA young infants isn't what you're used to in any respect. The cultural changes between us is in simple terms too lots and that i visit quite advise which you pass and characteristic a communication back with the dude that extra you onto this theory. with regards to salaries: in assessment to the USA your bankcharges in SA to pass funds to pay the expenses in US, taxes domestically and straightforward residing expenses and then what you extra or much less could earn, nicely, perfect of luck on that. extra useful deals to coach someplace like in the Fillipenes or Taiwan consisting of your diploma and actual make a distinction. do not % yet another US stat on our consious!
