Did your local media fill you in? Mine sure didn't. I live in a Metropolitan city too.
So, my question is, does your paper give you the news, or distract you with irrelevant crap, like mine does???????????

The thought popped into my head the other day after hearing about another suicide bomber in Iraq.
I realized that no proof was offered that it really was. So WHAT IF there was and never have been as many suicide bombers as is being reported? WHAT IF it was really our military setting off bombs in order to reinforce the war and our presense there? Imean, c'mon--how do we even know what is actually happening over there????

Look, I believe we need to be serious about global warming...but I think Al Gore is a hypocrite.

He owns several HUGE homes and spends roughly 20 times the national average on utilities. He often uses private jets and rides around in a limo. Plus, I'm pretty sure he didn't take a bus or walk to the Oscars.
Yes, I know he buys "carbon offsets," which are basically the equivalent of "indulgences" given by the Catholic church many years ago. But, this man doesn't practice what he preaches.
Is he really serious about this global warming crusade, or is this just his way of getting the adoration and love he never got while he was Clinton's VP?

i dont think that someone should run for persident, because they would be too old. For a fact i find that old people forget things. Would you want someone that forgets thing that are important?

I said in another post I thought Anna Nicole was ugly. But they have been showing pictures of her younger. I was surprised, she was very pretty. When she started trying to look like Marilyn, in my opinion, made her ugly. I for one didn't find Monroe georgous, I really can't see it.

Don't people have better things to do than to judge or discredit others? At least Gore is raising awareness and trying to make a difference in the world. So what if his family is currently using more energy than the typical one? In the future, a larger percentage of that would be coming from renewable resources. Go concentrate on your own energy consumption. Don't expect Gore to use same kilowatts as someone living in a hut.
Top scientists on the planet have express concern over global warming. Does the public need more convincing that our planet is dying? We need to open our eyes and take care of the world, not to leave problems behind and find ways to travel to planets trillions of light years away.
Remember days when Bill Gates was bombarded with criticisms from all corners? Now his family has done more to help the less fortunate than any of us could do in our entire lifetime. The moral of the story is to quit the judgments and put emphasis on encouragement.

allow local news stations to hype up weather reports for ratings? Most of the time when they give bad weather here they stay on the air urging us to stay tuned and then it turns out uneventful (thank God). I just think crying wolf makes us less likely to beelieve them in case of a real emergency.

Would like to send an e mail to Ann Margaret as I met her in Ill in 1957 at her uncle and aunts home in Fox Lake Il. My parents lived next to the Watts. I'm a Vet and proud from her concern. We had Danny K and Vicky Car as entertainers on the USS Bainbridge. Thanks to all the entertainers.
