I mean, the Holloways are from Alabama, and the Kalpoe brothers don't even live in the US.

I know that the tactic worked (more or less) in the OJ case, but here, against foreign citizens residing abroad, and for events that happened out of US territory, filing a wrongful death civil suit looks like an exercise in futility... and then she filed in California. Why on earth would she do that? I'm surprised the case was not thrown out right away due to the court having no competence regarding plaintiff, defendant, or events concerned.

Can somebody explain me the rationale behind this move?

We get some great British comedies (at least I think so) on PBS here: "Coupling" / "Fawlty Towers" / "As Time Goes By" / "My Hero" / "My Family" / "Allo, Allo!" / "Vicar Of Dibley" / "Blackadder" / "Father Ted" / etc, etc. - I love them all! - Can't get enough of them! My son was anti-gun person. He was shot down in cold blood. All of this is going to come out. God will show the truth. There is not evidence to show that my son had a gun. There was no way possible you can shoot four times and get no residue on your hands. My son had none on his clothes at all. I would appreciate it if all of you that are giving negitive thoughts out keep them to yourself. Someone made a comment, why does race always have to come up? In this situation it had to, because of the fact my son is bi-racial, and was shot because of that fact. If this was not true then why was everyone that was there taken downtown, and my son was shot in the head four times? If my son was keeping the officers from doing their investigaton then why wasn't he just taken down to the police station like the other four? The news media printed what they were told by the police. I just want to see justice for my son, by the court system. My son was a good son, and was fulling his dream in music.

Well it was recently brought out in the open that Environmentalist Al Gores electric bill on just one of his houses averages 1349.00 a month let alone the millions he spends on his private jets to blow carbon all over the planet. WHY DON'T YOU PEOPLE GET IT??? The only reason that we didn't fing WMDs in Iraq is beause we had to go through the damn U.N. which gave Iraq enogh of a chance to get the things out of their country anyway. well it is a never ending debate till the politicians on both side put there heads down to their motto of playing with sentiments of people on both the sides in the name of the dirty politics..

Soldiers at Walter Reed Army Medical Center’s Medical Hold Unit say they have been told they will wake up at 6 a.m. every morning and have their rooms ready for inspection at 7 a.m., and that they must not speak to the media.

“Some soldiers believe this is a form of punishment for the trouble soldiers caused by talking to the media,” one Medical Hold Unit soldier said, speaking on the condition of anonymity.

It is unusual for soldiers to have daily inspections after Basic Training.

Soldiers say their sergeant major gathered troops at 6 p.m. Monday to tell them they must follow their chain of command when asking for help with their medical evaluation paperwork, or when they spot mold, mice or other problems in their quarters.
