Algore is a "carbon pig" and you know it. Do you think Americans will give him a pass on his incredible personal energy consumption while he tells the rest of us to make major lifestyle changes? What do you think ?

After reading the article about him consuming so much, that does make him seem as a carbon hog.

Before Gore's movie I always tried to encourage my family in reducing energy consumption and promoted in reducing globabl warming in my house. My family listened to me half the time and didn't think that global warming was serious. After watching Gore's movie, it opened up my family's eyes. Since I had already known half the facts Gore was talking about it really didn't have much impact on me even though my family took global warming seriously from then on.

To the Americans that have always been promoting lifestyle changes and unnecessary luxuries to reduce consumption of energy wouldn't be much affected by Gore being a pig (if he really is harming the enviornment). But to those who were converted by Gore through his movie etc, think they have been cheated. Like the person who forwarded me the article was a someone who was left awed by the movie when he previously believed global warming wasn't so serious and didn't care.

Gore is a hypocrite because he cannot buy his way out of helping out in a cause he supports. And a true American won't take any kind of excuses from especially him. I am not going to believe the news 100% about Gore's consumption but he is consuming nonetheless. I blame him for consuming. Period.

But just because Gore is not doing his share should not discourage the others from helping the enviornment. This should not discourage others from continueing in "walking the walk".

Oddly enough, Gore's defense is stereotypically a republican situation. He can afford to purchase the "green tickets" or whatever they are called so he feels he can be an energy hog because he's rich enough to buy his way out of trouble. The wealthy have privileges that the rest do not.

This is just more neocon dishonesty--to start with they are the ones who don't care about the environment. But let's skip that and look at the facts:

1) the neocon "think tank" (Tenn. Center for Policy Research) lied and published false figures about Al Gore's power use.
2) They neglected to include the information (if they bothered to check--unlikely, since they were making tis up to start with) that the Gore home is energy-efficient--and theat he was using the "carbon credits" to balance it out.
3) The neocons also negleted to include the information that Gore is in the process of converting his home to solar energy.

So this whole issue is nothing but neocon lies and distortions--and one more examle of THEIR hypocrisy--they are the ones who have been fighting action on environmental issues.

But go right ahead--just like Mark Foley and his "helping abused children" your falshoods and hypocrisy will catch up with you--and discredit you yet again. You never learn.

You should look at Gore's electric bill as compared to other former Vice Presidents before you declare him a carbon pig. You can't refute the evidence, so you resort to ad hominem attacks.

I just hope that the little that he is doing is a start for him and that will grow into a major change in his life to really practice what he preaches.

If offset is not a carbon offset. So there again we are being told stories.
