no
a clone clones a duplicate
god made each one of us unique
we have our own face for a reason
cloning a duplicate is about the clone donor cloning perfect compatible spare parts ,then trying to transplant their persona into it or use bits from it for other purposes ,to what end
we all have our allotted time here
the next reality we get a permanent body
why sentience our selves in ignorance to life [in the flesh prison]
to stay young forever?to never grow up?
besides clones have used their telemeres up ,telemeres facilitate the cell division one gets destroyed each time a cell dies
when the cell telemeres all used up the cell dies
why created a geriatric doomed baby will no full quotient of telemeres?

It is not the governments responsibility to fund any private (non-military) research. The government can provide a block education grant if a university is willing to undergo the study, but research like that should not be publicly funded.
