In a way both.
The war on terror has eliminated and prevented several terrorist strikes, however, that only provokes more, some of which are not prevented.
Its a battle which will not be won by war, and until the politicians and policymakers of the world see that, things will be worse before better.

The problem with terrorism is it is motivate both by action as well as passiveness. If we didn't fight terrorism, they would continue to attack us. If we fight back, they will still attack us. The only thing that makes our current situation better is we are fighting them on the other side of the world now, rather than in Chicago, Sacromento, or Dallas. As long as we keep their attention and resources concentrated somewhere else, it buys us time to shore up our defenses here.
The only way to really defeat terrorism is to have a global movement against it. Every country (not just America) needs to devote resources, military personal, and political collateral to the fight against terrorism. Until then we will be in a very long war, but a war that we need to fight.
Pulling our of Iraq will not stop the terrorist attacks... it will just cause them to divert them somewhere else. Staying in Iraq will not end terrorists, it will simply divert their attention from American interest. It's a very tough situation that we are in now.

interior the previous, politicians promised to create a extra appropriate international. that they had diverse recommendations of achieving this. yet their means and authority got here from the positive visions they presented their human beings. those desires failed. And at present, human beings have lost faith in ideologies. an increasing type of, politicians are considered in simple terms as managers of public life. yet now, they have discovered a clean function that restores their means and authority. as a replace of handing over desires, politicians now promise to guard us from nightmares. they say that they are going to rescue us from dreadful hazards that we can't see and do not realize. And the right probability of all is international terrorism. a helpful and sinister community, with sleeper cells in international places the international over. A probability that should be fought by a warfare on terror. yet a lot of this probability is a fantasy, which has been exaggerated and distorted by politicians. It?s a depressing phantasm that has spread unquestioned by governments international wide, the safe practices amenities, and the international media. The neoconservatives invent a clean fantasy enemy, to attempt to regain their means; at the same time as Muslims are trying to shelter their houses and households adverse to the individuals and the Israeli cycles of terror and evil. Out of all this come the seeds of the unusual international of fantasy, deception, violence, and concern in which we now stay.

If we don't fight it, then we will be nearly as bad as those terrorists who do it. If a neighbor were terrorizing your community would you care more about putting an end to it or whether or not you might make the neighbor's family upset?

im with the we are what we believe we are theory ,
what we believe we get
think you walking on the street ,
some thugs [a judgement perhaps ] but you shrink back your mind goes blank next your mugged
life like that
a winner knows hes a wuinner because he knows
a looser is a looser because he tell him/her self he /she is
its that little voice we all got it
it lies so we cant trust it
we can all win ,we just avoid feeding fears
our own and our others fears
fear no evil
ye though i walk through the valley of fears and horrors yet i [we shall fear no evil
to feel evil is to ''bring it on''
we dont need to bring it on
so donr fear ,ir really cant be brought on
only our own fears can ,so dont go there
yes we are creating it
every time we let fear rule

Doesn't matter. You don't take the cops off the beat just because they don't catch all the robbers; you want to put as many of the robbers as possible out of action. First responder makes good points.

There may be different approaches like
i- Exploring the root-cause and subsequent soft remedies
ii-Apparent measures for crushing. This will further
genrate the same.
iii-Simple way will be to
(a) Accept all
(b) Respect all
(c) Love all
Yet it is difficult but not impossible.
iv-Another approach(sure shot)
" If hater against individual(s) is thrown away,as one
way action, the other side automatically looses hater."
(Unfortunately mankind,under the influence of
misguiding forces, does not adopt the rightfull
measures.)
