Is there a way for an American who is not Jewish to go to Israel to help them in their fight and will they accept the help? I am x-military and would relieve a younger military person to fight. Is it just me, or have people become too interested in the lives and affairs of celebrities? If one conducted a random survey, he would no doubt find far more people that could name Tom Cruise's baby, Justin Timberlake's girlfriend, or the finalists of American Idol than they could their state senators/representatives or the like. Why are people's interests so out of whack, and has it always been this way, or is this a recent phenomenon?

Please, aside from you position on the war (a simple "for" "against" or "undecided" will do), tell me what you feel is really happening. I won't state my political position, but I feel strongly that Americans have not been told the entire truth as to why exactly we are still fighting. I know that there are valid reasons (prevent genocide) but I really would like to know the BIG picture. I can't stand being ignorant and have not gotten a straight answer from any one website, news station, or personal opinion. I appreciate your intellectual imput.
