Take a gun. Instead of firing it at a person, reverse the way you hold it and hit that person on the head with the handle. You are actually using the back of the pistol to hit someone. And it hurts a lot.
Where whipping came in I don't know, but I think it has something to do with the use of the word whip, i.e. "Getting your butt whipped in a fight".

Swinging the pistol like a club, holding it by the barrel and striking with the hand grip, usually to the victim's head. I got pistol whipped by gang members in high school. I got a concussion, and probably suffered brain damage ( I went to UC Irvine instead of Stanford ).

wow.. thats crazy.. i live in denver, co.. some how we always make it into the news.. but ne ways a pistol whip is when you take a gun and slap someone with it, basically.. you can really mess someone up because they're usually metal, or steel..

He beat her with the gun. I hope he gets about ten years in jail to think about how precious life is to her as well as him. but then, he is in theUSA, they will probably give him a medal for "putting her in herplace" bigots that they are becoming.
