I would ask what could the UN do ? N, Korea isn't an easy target like Iraqi or Afghanistan. this country would take an enormous amount of resources to try and police. we had to stand with hands tied back like in Bosnia and Croatia .. its politics too that gets in the way as they loose the taste 4 the jobs that have to be done ,,
sanctions wont work on n,Korea , japan has a good concern to be worried as they know what nukes do .. I am a former soldier and I know that we still need man on the ground nukes wont win Ither side the war ,, but they do help prevent wars . so its a question that would take a lot more than just why send UN in .. its gonna need more impact and more understanding

Japan has no right to execute a pre-emptive strike, as this would break international law as well as Japan's own Constitution. The country does also not have the means, troops and weapons for such a strike.
And what is the UN supposed to do? They have even less at their disposal.

The whole "problem" over Iran's nuclear ambitions is really the problem of the USA, who want to carry on dominating the Middle East unrivalled. But as soon as there is a country that could - and if it is only theoretically - rain on their parade, it is no longer as easy as it has been so far. And we all know that cowards like George W. Bush do not go to war unless it looks like shooting fish in a barrel for the USA.

Because the UN is useless. I agree that No. Korea is a far more serious threat to world peace than Iran.
