They want the limelight so bad, they keep running their mouths and showing off, not caring who they alarm. Let them get sued by the family of a listener who has had a heart attack by listening to some b--s-- forecast that, by the way, never happened, and was never going to happen. These meterologists must be reigned in (no not a pun on "rain")..

No, that's why they're called "Forecasters".
They're literally predicting the weather by taking an educated guess using the best and latest possible data from various sources... radar, jet streams, hot/cold fronts, etc.
But even then, things unpredictably can change.

You can't really hold them legally responsible because it did or didn't rain, snow or hail.

Please ... are you serious? Meteorologists are human and can make mistakes. From my perspective they are fairly accurate. They carefully analyze the data and do the best they can with the forecast. Weather is a force of nature and nature is unpredictable. Meteorologists have at least a bachelor's degree, possibly a masters.

Can you name one person who had a heart attack because of a weather report?
