There is already an oversaturation of media attention on poverty. After a while, people just get so used to it, they tune it out. You need all those groups that do half-hour adds to stop for a few months, then actually interview people on air, real time to expose their true need.

Poverty already gets about as much attention as it ever will. Most people are aware of poverty. It is not as simple as everyone suddenly becoming aware of poverty is is through charities and ecoonomic development that it will end and their are already numerous groups working on it.

You can't end poverty, its a pipedream just like trying to create world peace. The truth is, some areas of the world do not have what it takes to provide for their population. Now it can be improved but other areas will just go through a depression. Its part of life.

Write letters to the editor about the issue. Work with local and national organizations. Help work on legislation by lobbying. There's so much more we can do. We just need to find the right people and let them know.
